Yorle was very helpful and was very happy to have us there. Getting up early to make pancakes for her guest may not always be easy, but she never failed to do it! There were two washrooms and I never had to wait for one at all. The water was warm and everything was clean. The only thing is that if you have a room that faces the road there is some noise so make sure you bring earplugs or ask for a room that does not face the street! Other than that it was great!

My only concern is that the 13% surcharge on credit cards is not indicated anywhere on the site or billing information, the surprise came AFTER I arrived.

Thank you very much for your opinion anywhere in Costa Rica you have to pay taxes when used your credit card, it's something we haven't had a problem with so far because people understand that it's something we didn't establish its a goverments policy

Nice a quite compared to other hostels in the area. But lacks a common area.

The place is ok but there were a few things that we disliked. The kitchen closed too early (9 p.m.), it was hard to cook a meal and finish eating when you had a busy day. We also felt pressured to book tours with the hostel although we didn't want to book tours for every day. The bathrooms are full of decoration showing sloths - so if you don't like them, be aware!

This was one of the best hostels we stayed at on our ten day trip to Costa Rica. The room was great, the staff was excellent and the breakfast was tasty! The only down fall is that we had to share the bathroom but there are two bath rooms for six rooms so there wasn't a problem. The staff scheduled all of our activities and recommended some great restaurants to visit. We saw a sloth in town and the supermarket was close and convenient. Would definitely visit again!

Nice, cozy, friendly, clean, safe, relaxed! For me it was the best place to stay in Monteverde. The owner is very nice, always ready to help you and to make all the reservations, calls you need. It is a quite place, perfect to rest after a long day of hiking. You feel at home there. I highly recomend it!!!

good place. Diego and Yorle are very nice and the free breakfast was good. Only negative comment is that they wouldn't refund us for a night we didn't stay, even though we cancelled with more than 24 hours notice, but that is understandable.
