Not bad if you want cheep accommodation. Rooms were a little small, which meant that there wasn't much room to put our hiking packs down. Bathrooms where alright as long as you weren't sharing with a group of 5 middle aged men whom got up at 4 am to make the bathroom as dirty as possible before anyone else got the chance to use it! Breakfast was great. The staff weren't incredibly friend but they were never rude.

Very dirty hostel, but for the price I didn't expect it to be very clean. Staff were rude with the breakfast being very average. Okay if you just need a bed to sleep in.

After reading other reviews of the hostel me and my friends were terrified and expecting a horrible stay. However it was all okay! Very small rooms and the shower was not the best, but the rooms were clean, and considering the low price we were postivly surprised by our stay.

There was too less shower facilities and in female shower you cannot even close the doors, so somebody could come in, which actually happened with me. Room was not very clean. Breakfast was very poor, but for such a cheap price you cannot ask anything more. Location was good, very near to metro station and also Camden town was good place. I was in room with very nice people, so I didn't need to worry about my things safety.

On entering the hostel the staff were not very friendly or helpful. There was no bathroom on our floor at all, the two bathrooms were a small toilet on the upper floor and a toilet with shower on the lower floor, with the amount of people in the hostel both were frequently engaged and if you tried to have a shower you quickly had people banging on the door. Finally there were no locked doors apart from on bedrooms, people could easily come in from outside to all common areas.

Had a great stay. Awesome people, location couldn't be better. The only problem I had was that there was only two showers, that's way too few.

This place really sucks. If I had to spend more than 2 nights there I would have shoot myself in the face.

Stayed with 4 mates on a lads weekend out so at it suited us perfect, A bit scruffy and cramped but for a bunch of lads to get their head down after a night out it worked a treat, walking distance to the night scene. That said its not somewhere I'd take the wife, You may want to look elsewhere for that occasion I know I would.

directions were a bit confusing especially when it was called smart camden hostel online and then camden inn hostel on the map. taxi drivers/people didnt know where we were asking for so maybe contact someone online to clear this up? Also the heat in the room was way too hot. we couldnt lower the radiator or open the window :(

Cleaners spend all their time on the mobile phone instead of cleaning (which is in dire need of more attention) who then huff and puff when you try to get past them on the narrow stairs, which they have been sitting on for 2 hours Kitchen is very poorly stocked with cooking utensils. Dorm rooms dont actually shut so anyone could stroll in. Mattresses have plastic covering making it uncomfortable. Good central location in Camden though

Very basic but a good place to rest your head in central London. Don't expect luxury and comfort for £7 a night. Excellent price for the location and the fact that its London! Friendly cleaners keeping the hostel clean all day and one piece of advice, in this hostel your not going to get cold in the middle of winter!

Very small rooms!, everything should be a little cleaner y and a have more toilets and showers. The location is good, a few steps from Candem Market. Key deposit 10 pounds what I find to be TOO MUCH!

Make sure you tell your guests about extra costs, for example if you want to pay with card instead of cash.. Also the 10 pound cash deposit - we arrived late and was met by a pretty cocky receptionist who told us to go to an atm for the deposit and not until we came back she told us that we have to pay extra if we wanted to pay with our visa card. Kinda ruined our mood the first night.

Room flooded when we arrived. No hot water. Over-priced. Plastic covers on beds. Charged £5 for towel. Overall, not very welcoming or pleasant - seemed to be a money making enterprise with no real consideration for quality of experience. If you can possibly afford to stay anywhere else, I'd recommend that you do.

Not clean. Overpriced for the size of the room. Shower in the room not working, no offer to reduce price even though I paid extra to have a room with a shower. They were doing work on the building and were in the way when I arrived. Lockers are a joke, it is a latch that can be opened with any small key. No room to even sit on the bed and no floor space to get into your luggage/unpack. The showers in the hallways had see through glass doors. Disgusting.
