Only wifi in reception and if you are on the fourth floor have fun hauling your luggage up a steep flight of stairs. The showers are not adjustable for temperature and only stay on as long as you push the button. However the staff were great. They upgraded us for free to a 6 bed female dorm just so my friend and I could stick together.

Wasn't a fan of this place, it was dirty and I felt uncomfortable here, and the bathroom situation was bad.

Do the breakfast better and more variated. Including towels will be much better! Except from these things we enjoy the stay and were happy that it was so clean!

With this hostel, you're really paying for the location. However, what you get in location, you sacrifice greatly in terms of facilities and cleanliness. I stayed in a 15-person room, and it was SO cramped. All of the space was taken up by five 3-bed-high bunks; the floor was covered in everyone's luggage because there was nowhere else to put it. The bathrooms are very dirty, and the 'common room' was always overcrowded because it was so small. I found a spider in the sink! You can do better.

In this hostel you just pay the location close to the Hyde Park. The staff is very friendly but all the facilities are old, dirty and partly not usable. The price-performance-ratio is not understandable at all.

i stayed in 9 bed female room, the space is too small. i knocked my head against the roof for many times! and it is hard to climb the stairs to my bed which located on the highest one. what i liked was that they provided curtains and panels.

Not very clean but tolerable. People staying in made all the difference! The girls that work over the counter were lovely but the men had little respect for women... Nevertheless, I'd stay there again if I had to.

Well the other reviews are not wrong. The place is not the cleanest and the staff is not the best. Basically, the way I see it is that you get what you pay for. London is an expensive city so if you want to stay anywhere for less than 20 pounds a night, don't expect much. Good enough place though, a bed to sleep in, bathrooms, a kitchen and a grocery store near by.

There are so many people crammed in to small rooms there is no place to put luggage the result is you are tripping over each others suitcases. The bunks are small and as there was so little room I had to sleep with my bag on my bed. The showers are just room for a shower there is nowhere to put your towel or clothes so they get wet. The toilet cublicles are so small you can hardly get in and end up sitting partly on the "lady's bin".. disgusting!

The staff was friendly enough, but they seemed not to care much about getting to guests in a timely manner. They were carrying on personal conversations when we were trying to check out, and this was a bit annoying and waste of our time.

We were 10 girls at a study trip for a week, we chose Smart hyde Park because of the location. We had not expected that the rooms would be something special because of the cheap price. The room is VERY small and beds is old and broken, and that there is only one socket for so many people. It was disgusting in all bathrooms and you could not lock the bathroom doors. There were also a man who locked himself in at our room at night two times and walked around while we where sleeping! that's not ok.

The staff was kind and helpful and the location was perfect. But this were the only good points. The bedroom was small with a tiny window and was completely crammed with bunkbeds. It was terribly hot and the level of oxygen in the room really low. When waking up I was facing the half naked bottom of the German guy sleeping too close next to me. Wasn't a great experience. There was only 1 toilet and 1 shower for the whole floor (for approximately 40 people) so even at night there was a line!

Staff was really nice but the place was cramped and pretty dirty and smelly. Doesn't seem that secure either. You have to pay extra to use a locker and mine had a broken lock. Location was good. Checkout delays were awful. Waited in line over 45 minutes to check out.
