More like a boutique hotel than a hostel . We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this hostel to friends. The staff were so friendly, It was clean, tastefully decorated and extremely well located, not noisy but also easy to meet people in.

I've stayed in quite a few hostels over the past few years (including a wildnerness hostel that had no running water or heating) and I have to say this is the worst one I've ever stayed at. To start, the staff were rude and completely unhelpful, the room we had had a smashed window, it was dirty, there was a weird stain on the wall, no curtains or blinds, the beds were rusty and had no ladder to get to the top bunk. The luggage storage seemed really unsafe. Totally overpriced.

We were 7 friends sleeping in a 8bedroom, the 3 first of us had hot water but the shower didn't have enough pressure, the others had cold water. the price is good, the hostel in a nice area and we slept well.

Customers should not be charged for using a debit card. Lockers should be in a useable condition. You should not have to leave your belongings downstairs at the front desk.

It's just a really long walk to the city center. Nice warm showers every time, all though everything get's really moist. The dorm in the basement was really really cold and a bit moist as well.

I liked the character of the hostel, but then I felt a little uncomfortable being the only girl to about 12 men, but all was fine except we hadnt been told checkout times, there was no signs saying or anything - It is our responsibility to remember to ask but it is also for the hostel staff to tell us/have it in writing. Woke up at 11.40, told wed lost our deposit and that we had 15 minutes to leave or wed be charged for another night - there was also one showe/toilet between 16-18 people

This hostel is an old, unclean hotel and it is just terrible. Such a long walk from the centre of Brighton. 'Sea view' is laughable, half the rooms wouldn't have views and the ones that do are blocked by ugly buildings. The staff aren't very helpful except if you need to order a taxi, they call it for you, but you need one because its far away from everything. The bathrooms were so filthy and outdated. The wifi is really expensive. Do not stay at this hotel unless you have no other choice!

Owner Comment (Show)
Dear Garmus, you booked 2 beds in 15 Bed Dorm so you have to share the room with 13 person, I think it is better if your friend scare to share other people to pay some more money to book a private room.

This was the best hostel I have ever stayed at in regards to cleanliness and location. The staff was super friendly, the hostel was extremely clean, it was free wifi though and located right near the sea Everything was excellent - I will certainly be back.

Very noisey could not get to sleep, people were banging on doors and talking and shouting throughout the night. I ran the Brighton Marathon in morning and felt shattered!

For being advertised as a modern hostel, the room had old beds with rust on them and two of the windows had cracked panes. The building itself had been partly modernised but there was clearly a long way to go.

it was really dark, no nice atmosphere at all, for all tourists: search for another hostel when you're treated like cattle and have to move every 2 or 3 days its unrespectful. the staff was nice except for the manager, but all the staff seemed a bit incompetent
