Good value for money. Close to the sea front and a few bars and foot places. Not a long walk to the main part of town. Place had a very sterile feel to it all and staff weren't the friendliest. It was also hard to contact the hostel before arriving. Also in the 12 bed dorm there were only 2 plugs. In a smart phone age, far from ideal

My friend and I decided to take a last minute trip to Brighton, booked this hostel the day before we went! Great rates but we did stay during the week, not sure if this differed at weekends. Security is great, all doors are electronic key swiping system. Lovely staff. It's not Buckingham palace but if you are staying in a hostel then you cannot go with that expectation. Great location too! Great couple nights stay. Thanks!

I stayed at the single private room on a weekday, and it was great.

Great hostel, however lockers with locks in the dorms would be good. Staff friendly and helpful.

This place is like Fawlty Towers. It is overpriced and the dorm looked like a prison cell. It wasn't particularly clean, and there was no soap in the upper bathrooms. Would not stay here unless there was nothing else available.....

There are not any curtains in the room. Facia plates are missing off plug sockets leaving exposed live wires next to metal bunk beds. When the staff were asked about this, they were hostile. Stating there is no legal requirement, to which there is for the blatant Health and safety issues that need addressing.

This is one of the worst hostels I've stayed in having stayed in many hostels throughout Europe and South East Asia. Staff were rude and unhelpful. People staying in hostel were not backpackers but long term residents who spent most of their time drinking. Room was small and cramped and had a bad smell. One socket in the room for 6 beds. Lockers were charged at £2 a day and not enough. Room was very noisy at night so barely slept. Another guest had stuff stolen. A poor experience overall.

Not a bad hostel, but not suited to a young female traveller. Beds and facilities were fine, wifi didn't work from my room. Staff were very helpful though (even though I messed the dates up while booking)
