Communal kitchen was filthy. One fridge for the entire hostel is a joke. So small that only a few people could cook in there at once. Pretty much a pointless kitchen. Hair all over the bathroom even after it was cleaned. The floor in our room was so dirty, it has not been swept or vacuumed in ages, really bad. Good bar, friendly staff, bad pizza.

if yoy use public transport location is nice but if yoy walk everywhere like me, location is away from the city center. they have nice big rooms amd lockers. staffs are super friendly.

very clean room, nice showers and bathrooms, the staff are friendily and helpfull, the location is so good, right neart the U Bahn station "Goethenplatz", and theres a excelent bar in the hostel. Would back again for sure

The hostel is really nice, it can almost be considered a hotel. The rooms are big and spacious and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and big and there is even a small room with cabinets inside the room to leave stuff. The hostel is a bit far from the Centre but it is not a huge distance so we walked there everyday. The bar in the reception is nice and was always busy with people so the atmosphere was great.

This hostel provided a great start to my European adventure. Arriving as a solo traveller it is great to be able to meet other like minded solo travellers to help you settle in. The bar at Smart Stay is really great for this as anyone looking for a chat just heads down to the bar in the evening.

Eh. This was a disappointing hostel. The kitchen is tiny (honestly don't bother to cook here) and you have to go to the front desk to even get a pan (which are gross). The wifi isn't great and you weirdly have to get a little slip of paper (one for each device) with the password everyday. McDonalds is next door so use their wifi. Also there are families staying in the hostel which was a little odd. But the location is great! With effort you can meet people here.

Everything is fine in the Smart Stay Hostel Munich. We had a good time.

The bar was good! And the staff were very helpful, also extremely clean !

Rooms were clean/ comfortable but very hot and there was no AC. Not many outlets in the rooms. The wifi kept cutting out while in the room and we had to re log in multiple times, at reception it was fine. The bar was a good place to meet people.

Lovely place very clean and rooms are huge.

This is one of the best hostel we've been so far. The atmosphere at night is awesome. Everyone's drink at the bar and the terrace outside. Very easy to meet new people and go out with them in Berlin. It is a very big hostel and I would recommand it. The kitchen was dirty at night thought, no one was cleaning their dishes and you only have wifii in the lobby but that doesn't really matter.

The staff at this hostel was irritating - either they kind of didn't give a crap about you or they were downright rude. The wifi was horrible, which was difficult when staying at a place for five days - we had to go downstairs for wifi, and it didn't work in the morning and evening. Most importantly, THIS HOSTEL WAS NOT CLEAN. There were tons of bugs - not bed bugs (thankfully) - that would crawl into the beds at night, and proceed to leave you with a night of bug killing rather than rest.

GOOD: Inexpensive, super clean, right next to a metro, short metro ride to Old City, nice cafes nearby, really chill atmosphere. BAD: They kinda nickle and dime you (no free towels or breakfast)

The location was great! It led me into parts of the city I have never been before. The beds were comfy and the rooms were very clean and presentable. I'm going to book here again for Ocktoberfest!

way overpriced. WiFi is super annoying because you need one code per device per 24 hours. kitchen closes at 10pm and you have to rent/pay deposit for dishes. no real hostel atmosphere. wouldn't recommend.

Provided everything we needed, although rather expensive for an 8 bed dorm, especially on the Saturday night.

Nice hostel, professional and clean, but not incredibly exciting. Despite this, the bar is nice and the area is interesting.

Me and my girlfriend had a nice stay.

One of the nicer hostels I got to stay at while in Europe. It's not even really a hostel, its more comparable to a motel. Had a bar, a lobby, cafeteria, etc. Met some fun people, location is great for exploring Munich and you can get some really cheap Turkish food just north of the hostel. Perhaps it's bland as far as hostels go I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed myself there

This place has some very nice facilities. My only complaint was that when we got there we were unsure which bed was free because someone had checked out but had left some of their stuff. With help from the staff we determined the correct bed and they fixed the situation. It would be better if beds were assigned, but it wasn't a big deal. I'd stay there again.
