Stayed there during Champions League Final (busiest night of Munich's Year - probably) and it was well managed. I imagine you will get better value (paid @110 for one night) in less popular time but would recommend even at this inflated price. The location is spot on, especially if you get the train. The building is peaceful despite being in the city centre. Staff bright and polite, didn't try the food but the beer is good.

Great location, short walk to city centre and train station. Very basic but large rooms. We were there during the champions league final weekend so value wasn't great, but I'm sure their normal rate is much cheaper.

I made a reservation a few hours before my schedule arrival, then had to cancel it a couple of hours later. However, the hostel said they were going to charge me 90%. I had not even made the reservation 24 hours ago in order to cancel within 24 hours, so that is very confusing.

The WI-Fi in the rooms on the first floor was very poor. The only place to connect was in the bar which was uncomfortable and noisy as one expects a bar to be.

No free wifi and breakfast, but the location is very central; both to get to the centre and the train station.

This was a good upgrade from typical hostels. This is more like a hotel with rooms with key cards but you share the shower and toilets. All the common areas were very clean. It was quiet and comfortable and right across from the train station so in a great location.

Internet access isn't free. The hot water was a stretch of the imagination. But altogether, not bad.

Good location in a stone's throw from hauptbahnhof and major sights, but trains quite annoyingly loud at night, rooms are flashback from 70s, wifi is not free and stuff is extremly rude and not helpful at all. If you need dirty cheap place to stay near station for one night after\before departure is OK, but I don't recommend this place to anyone for longer stay.

Great location, very close to Main Station and City centre, reasonable price. If there would be free internet, than it would be really perfect! ;-)

Get rid of the dingy, 30 year old carpet, and this will be a nice place. Most modern hostels now use tiled floors. Otherwise, EP is a good experience. It's quiet , and a good option for having a few days quiet, especially if you're coming from one of the noisy hostels. I've stayed here several times, and look forward to future upgrades in the facilities.

It is just a few minutes walk from the Munich Hauptbahnhof and not far from Marien Platz. The room is quite clean.

It's a block from the train station, close to the Marienplatz, and across the street from a Starbucks that opens at 7am. Perfect location, comfortable enough beds and warm room, decent breakfast for the price (5 euros) at a great price. We'd stay here again.
