This was a very pleasant and comfortable place to stay in the Durban area. The owners Pat and Keith are real friendly and knowledgable about things to do in and around town. The facilties were clean and comfortable. And while the place is a bit out of town it did feel safer beacuse of that. I recommend Smith\'s Cottage to anyone who wants to come to Durban.

Smith's cottage is really like what you see in the pictures. It is very well maintained with immaculate gardens and swimming pool. The staff is very friendly. Pat made me feel right at home. The room I stayed in was very neat and tidy, and the kitchen was spotless. The shower and toilet were also very clean. The only thing I think Smith's cottage needs to considers is adding a basin as there is none at the moment. Unfortunately I was the only person in the dorm so I never got to meet anybody.
