Excellent reception and as per assurance Hotel management arranged Airport pick up and nice break fast . Every day we enjoyed our stay in Delhi, peaceful atmosphere and smiley staffs.

The facilities were great. I had a really comfortable stay. However, on the second last night of my stay the hotel receptionist said there was a possibility that I will not be able to extend my stay for one more night. (I had not booked the extra night via Hostelworld previously). I was quite puzzled cos I told him quite earlier on. In the end after being more assertive, I managed to secure one more night's day - still the experience was abit unnerving, given that the next day was Republic Day!

The directions to the Smyle Inn were a little difficult to follow at night as one of the landmarks- the red mosque- didn't look all that red or mosque-like. But we ended up being taken there by a local who was happy to show us. It was also not clear that there were 2 separate buildings, so at one stage I thought we'd been taken to a different place by the same name (which is known to happen in India).

Even though this hostel is designed to meet the lower budget market ,it doesn't represent value for money. There are other hotels within the same area that are only a few dollars more expensive per night but are vastly superior. We were there in January and found the rooms and bedding far too cold. Although we'd booked for 4 nights we only stayed 1. Generally the staff were not particularly friendly or nice and the whole place was a bit dark and depressing.

Love the wifi service there, through not really stable. A nice facility for having free internet next to reception. And the breakfast is good. Not easy for us to find the exact location of the hostel because it locates at the small lane. I suggest hostel to put up a sign on the road of Main Bazaar. However, it closes to New Delhi Station and New Delhi Metro - 500m (people can go to the airport by riding on airport express). Many thanks for friendly and helpful staff.

Depending on your needs, the location can be good. It's essentially in Old Delhi which can be overwhelming. Not the safest area, but 8 min walk to train station. The manager and concierge (travel desk) were helpful, but the others were not. Decent wifi, cable, computers, and free breakfast. My bathroom smelled horrendous due to the drains. Even keeping the door closed didn't help. Ground and third (4th) floors are very loud bc of other guests. Avoid those if possible.

Nice place but owner made us wander the city for 4 hours because we needed to check in early (flight arrived at 5am). Wandering around Old Delhi at 6am is not fun and we couldve used a bit of generosity. Otherwise hostel is fine.

My stay at the Smyle Inn was exactly what I needed: an oasis of calm in the bustle of Old Delhi, especially since it is in the heart of the Main Bazaar. The manager was always welcoming, Ali the travel-guru helped me find trains around the country and the facilities were great - particularly the fact that the Wi-fi works in all the rooms (at least, both of the rooms I stayed in) Great stuff guys! :)

The acommodations is basic but nice and clean. Rooms are different - some of them are renovated others migh not be so nice. The staff is helpful and we were grateful for their help with purchasing the train tickets and booking acommodation in other cities. Free breakfast is included. The hostel is close to railway station and important sights. The area of Main bazar is very "Indian", chaotic and dirty. Other hotels in Delhi that we saw were more expensive but not nicer.

Generally, my stay has been good and the staff is really helpful. One minor comment is the clanliness of the towel which was quite dirty.

Very dirty bathroom and also the room was very dirty with dirty sheets and blankets. Otherwise the service is OK.

Average beds and showers. Very budget accommodation. Lots of pigeons roosting on air conditioning vents that flutter and make a lot of noise. Staff were nice enough to help move me to a less noisy room which I appreciated, but still it is quite a noisy place regardless. As a very budget place to stay just for one night, it's possibly appropriate, but not for any longer than that.

Well located & relatively comfortable. A cut above the usual Main Bazaar flea pits. That said, one of the staff tricked us by making us pay him for bottled water when we asked for it - we only realised he had pocketed the money when the items appeared as unpaid on our bill. However, his colleague was extremely upset about this and insisted on retrieving our money. Furthermore, the owner was a little slippery when calculating the room bill - tried to charge us double!! Such is life :)
