Smyle Inn is a great little hotel in the heart of Paharganj but just away from the chaos of main bazaar, thus its easy to get to from New Delhi train station. Very friendly staff and includes free breakfast as well. The room was simple but clean, much better than I expected at this price range, and included a decent hot shower and AC. The TV even had BBC news etc. if you just want to recover in bed after a long flight.

The hotel was fine, clean and cable T.V. This is a great place if you just want a clean bed for the night, great location for the train station. The only thing I didn't like was that we asked for a pick up and were told no as we were only 400m from the train station, but we walked right past the street it was on so we would have appreciated a pick up as we had a lot of bags.

Excellent location, ten minutes walk from the train station. Small breakfast in their other hostel, a 3 minute walk away. Room like a business hotel, without character but with a very good matrass and HBO on the tv. Very good bathroom for Indian standards, although you are with your knees against the wall when sitting on the toilet. No windows in the room though, so you can run out of oxygene when you sick out a day in your room ...

I must say that from all the hotels I've staied while travelling in India, this Hostel was the best of all. Location wise is perfect, just 1 min from Main Bazar Road, 5 min from New Delhi Station and Ramakrishna Ashram Marg. It is modest but clean. Internet is free and there are several computers that you can use. Staff is friendly and honest. I forgot my battery charger in the bedroom and 5 days later went back to get it. They didn't want any money, which was very surprising, considering India!

Dear Customer your review is wrong. You arrived at 5:30am as per our records. Since the checkout time is 12 noon, you would have got the room at 12noon on that day. We explained this to you at the reception, but you did not want to understand. You just left. We even wrote an email about this after you had left. But still no response. Because you did not stay to honour your booking (starting at 12 noon), you should appreciate the fact that we did not charge you for no show. Please paint the correct picture for the benefit of the travel community.

Stayed 2 nights. Quiet, clean rooms, cheap, warm water, friendly staff, breakfast was not so good and not included (for a B&B?). 30 seconds walk from the Ganga. and 5-10 minute walk to the main Assi Ghat. We booked a train ticket from the Hostel. We payed 550 rps for a 380 rps ticket. I believe the commission was a bit much... Other than that it was an OK hostel Besides that

Excellent hostel - very clean :) We paid half the price to stay at a hotel close by and soo glad that we paid the extra to stay here when we came back to Delhi as it was a thousand times better. Good wifi and nice and clean.

Guys, the rooms you book here are not that smile inn you will find first - there are 2 of them belong to the same owner. I have booked here, but they showed a room that was not cleaned after the previous stay with empty bottles and hair all over and this was without any window. They say the other one has rooms, so I finally rented another room in another smile inn - location is perfect, but first we arrived it was a room with cockroaches - so many of them!! but finally they gave us good room)

The rooms were average. Had a few large bugs in with me. The bathrooms are very small; my knees would touch the wall when I sat on the loo. The rooms did have good stations on the tv and the beds were comfortable. The location is just off a very busy street, along from the train station. So a good location as you are near plenty bars, shops and places to eat. It is very crowded so expect attention. The staff were helpful, offering to locate some food and some beer for us late when we arrived.

Very recommended and all I've got is worth the money! Breakfast, hot water, decent wifi connection, less crowded area. The staffs are really helpful and I also use the taxi service arranged by the hotel to the airport. No wonder it has received Hoscar Award a couple years back :)

JUST DON'T make bookings through their travel angency. We booked a trip that turned out to be impossible, given the time we had. They prommised us it would, but when it didn't, they took no responsibility and would not admit any fault in the matter. It was horrible! ps. the hot water only lasts for one minutte.

Dear Customer, It is an unfortunate review. You have rated us on various paratmeters like location, security, staff, fun, cleanliness, character very poorly. This should not have been done. Your grievance was with the travel service, then how come all the hostel facilities turned out to be bad. Please do refer to the refund as a compensation that was issued to you which you have signed yourself. That should have closed the issue. But you decided to bring it up in the forum and rate our hostel poorly which is not at fault. This is very unfortunate.

they say that is hot water all the day but it's not true, only from 7.30 to 9 in the morning and in the evening. There weren't towels or sheets on the room.

Dear Customer, The recently installed boiler was giving trouble during the time of your stay. It has now been fixed.

Street is smelly and therefore when you turn on the AC your room become smelly too. Beds are hard but overall rooms are OK. Prices are low and therefore you get the value for the money you spend.

The room was good and well equipped. However the hot water only worked for a under a minute despite asking staff to turn on the boiler in advance. We plan to stay another night when we come to pick up our bags so will comment more then. Breakfasts were good.

The place was Ok. It was clean and free breakfast and internet. I paid 440 INR for the airport pick up. First time can be a bit difficult to find the hostel.

There was wifi in the room so that was handy. 2 particular staff remembers were very friendly and approachable. the others made you feel like you were just bothering them. it was in a good location although it was in an ally so if your arriving at night expect to feel a little nervous.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. It's close to the metro station and nice breakfast in the terrace.
