For the price range this is a fantastic hotel. The private rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is provided free of charge and makes for a good opportunity to meet with other fellow travellers. Would stay there again were I to return to Delhi.
Just on the alley of Main Bazaar where is close to the New Delhi Railway Station. It's quite convenient to live in this are while remain some quietness. It's much like a budget hotel than a hostel since it lacks social area. The room is clean, although the light is dim. If you feel cold during winter time, don't forget ask staff to give a extra portable heater.
We skipped our first days in Delhi there for other place, big mistake! wish we had stayed there since beginning! best toilets I had in India, good breakfast and clean room. only tricky thing is the location, but not a problem if you want to be in the middle of the markets, food (: also pretty close from train station

Location is very near to the railway station. Just abit hard to find from the main street, you have to go in a small corner only u will find the hostel location. Staffs are friendly and good there, help us book all the train tickets we needed for our trip with minimal commission. The cleanliness are okay compare to other hostel we stayed in india.
Good location, clean rooms, nice staff
everything was excellent besides the travel agent who ignored our requests to travel on a train and just wanted us to rent a car guide and kept persisting on the car guide so we went to another travel agent.
The unhelpful staff in the reseption keeps turning the hot water off from the rooms. The location is not ideal unless you plan to take the train the following morning. Rooms are small, rather dirty and noicy. The breakfast at the roof top is a joke. I wouldn't stay again. There are plenty of other hotels if you need to stay at this not so nice area.
It is a great location easy to get anywhere in Delhi. The room was good and the front staff were nice however the travel desk was not helpful and we could not even get a map
The hostel is conveniently located and easy to get to from airport. They charged a lot more than other hostels and you get your own room. Not good if you are looking to mingle. I booked a Golden Triangle tour and the driver's car was on the verge of breakdown with over 400,000 km and had two holes in the tire during the weeklong tour. Also he took me to tourist trap rest stops. Everyone wants tips including the driver so they always mention that they work for tips. Kind of annoying
This hostel was in a pretty good location for backpacker bars and shopping and very reasonably priced, and staff were very helpful and friendly with anything you need!

Smyle inn means that it 'Smells in' . Dirty room, dirty towels, toilet flush doesn't work, breakfast is awful.
I arrived 3 hours later than expected, and there was STILL a smiling driver waiting for me. The staff were very friendly, with very good English and when I asked about travel further north they gave me the honest ticket price. No personal commission added. Good people in a good place can make all the difference. Highly recommended. Thanks guys. See you again in january

This hostel is in the heart of New Delhi tourist area. It's kind of difficult to find on your own since it's off in a small alleyway. The hostel owner and staff are very friendly. I would love to stay there again, but it's in such a location where there are vultures (shop owners trying to sell you things and mainly the rickshaw/tuk-tuk drivers) everywhere in the area. If you are up to dealing with them then this is the perfect proximity to New Delhi rail station and the city Metro station.
If you need a place that feels safe and like to learn more about how to do the best of your vacation in India, you should consider to stay at Smyle Inn. The owner and his staff are extremely helpfull and offers there time to give you loads of valuable and helpful advice. We were extra impressed by one of the staff that made a quick run to the ATM just in time to prevent us from losing 20.000 rupies. Totally impressed by the staffs willingness to walk "the extra mile" ;) Kaj & Jan
In bathroom, Not working hot water shower. Still cold water.
Had a great 4 nights at Smyle, once you get your head around the apparent chaos of Main Bazaar you will quickly enjoy the experience. It's great being in the heart of the action and the metro is only a 10 min walk away for when you want to get further afield. We booked a driver for the day from the travel desk which is worth doing. Room was large, clean and decent en suite and the breakfasts are good and filling. Eat brekkie late and it saves buying lunch! Would definitely stay again
First to say that i had a bad time in delhi, but it would have been worse without the hotel. when you book try to get a room with the last numbers of 1,2 or 3, they are nicer than 4 and 5. the rooms are very spacious and clear. save is provided in the room and works well. was sick and they gave me free boiled rice, bananas and yoga, super nice. (give the pick up driver less tip than you want he will always ask for more, ALLWAYS) Felt super secure and home in this place. loved it.
i did not like, sorry. There is no window in the rooms and place is the most crowded. Anyway i stayed and nothing bad happened. Their turisim office working wery well and prices are reasonable. there is no teras cafe!! breakfast is poor.
The hostel room was OK but not particularly clean. The bathroom window was open to the air so mosquitos could be a problem. The air con only worked intermittently. There is a public urinal at the top of the street. One plus: the small cafe directly across the road had nice food; I would recommend the Pad Thai. Although there is nothing critically bad about this hostel I would not stay here again.
Ok place for the money, the alleyway to get to it though has open urinals so stinks of piss, staff were helpful and its right on the main bazaar and close to the station. There is a cafe on the main bazaar called Kathmandu Cafe the food there was incredible, but stay away from Nirvana Cafe!
