a little bit noisy at night but still acceptable because far away from the hassle of the main street, staff is friendly and nice, bedroom and bathroom are clean, linen and bed match the Asian standard.

Room damp and dark, but with hot shower. Good breakfast and obliging, helpful staff. 10 mins away from train station and airport pick up a good addition.

Great location, clean and helpful staff who allowed us to change rooms because the TV did not work and also changed the internet router because the wifi wasn't working.

One of the only places that had wifi in the room. Clean and basic, but the rooms vary some have no windows- so make sure you see the room first. Hot water was good and reception offered support and advice- great value for price.

Wifi wasn't working when we got there but that wasn't the staffs fault. Hotel is in a good location in Delhi and it was quiet too because it was down an alley off the main road.

we stayed there twice when we were in India. the first time we stayed in a cheaper twin room (standard?) which was fine and good value for money i guess. the second time we stayed in a more expensive room that was very nice and definitely worth the extra money and it was still really cheap. the staff were really nice too and always tried to help us. they always booked taxis to the airport for us or pick-ups from the airport and it always worked out well. would definitely stay there again! thanks

There was barely any choice for hostels or cheap well-rated guest houses in Delhi. I chose this one but I was pretty disappointed. It was down a dark alley off the Main Bazaar. It was very cold when I was there and there were holes in the rooms that allowed in a cold draught. The computer room was decent but there was barely any other guests which let the atmosphere down. The staff are good, however, and are good at helping you book your trip away from a city I can't say I enjoyed too much.

We booked an ac-room to use it as a heater, because the owner recommend it in other reviews, but it didn´t work, so we spend 3 nights freezing our asses of. I recommend to bring warm clothes if you are staying in January. Ok rooms and nice bathroom, but it´s not great value compared to other hostels we´ve stayed at in India. A big plus was the hot water.

Not very clean and also met some bed bugs here. Staff was doing the job, but not particularly friendly. But the good points were the hot shower and 24hours Wifi. And of course the price!

We were extremely happy with the standard of room for the price we were paying. I think the building needs to hire specific night staff. We arrived very early in the morning (around 5am) and had to wake some people up who were sleeping in the hall. One was a child (worker) which we felt very bad about and the other was not happy about getting woken up and was waving us off. Otherwise we loved it, location is fantastic, would stay here again.

Unfortunately I didn't actually get to stay at Smyle Inn - they LOST my reservation even after I had talked with them via email a few days beforehand! When I told the man at the desk this he brushed me off and barely listened to me. They were fully booked so he arranged for me to stay at the hostel down the road, which was of a much lower quality and visibly unclean. I left and stayed with a friend instead.

I stayed also at my first visit to India so i wanted to go back here. Hotel is OK, staff too, but location is excellent and there is also nice breakfast and free internet room which everyone can use. It is much better than more other hotels in Paharganj and it is worth for the money you paid. Hot shower even in january was really good.

It's fine for a day or two, if you really want some kind of misguided foray into pretending you're a downtrodden wanderer. And it's fine if it's all that's in your budget range. But the nighttime trash fires in the alley outside your window (which, though bolted shut, lacks glass, leaving your room whatever temperature it is outside), the pillows full of what can only be old socks, the urban myth that is hot water, and the general dusty wasteland that is Paharganj will leave you flat quickly.

Our room smelled a bit like poooop most of the time. The man was mean to Ashley but she is a baby so I think that the hostel is a nice place for you and your friends. They make you buy their tours otherwise you get a stern look from the man who sells them. The breakfast was 100% number one it was sio nice I didnt like the mango juice lol. Ashley had it instead the eggs were good it was a cool surprise each day to find out which egg style you would be blessed with. the funny cows outside.

The hostel was ok when I stayed there a few years back in summer but my winter experience was a whole lot different. It was really cold, we had to buy extra blankets and sleep with our woolen hats on. The hot water tank is the size of a small bucket and water runs out in a few minutes. The breakfast is simple but good. Staff is fairly indifferent. Location is good if you're interested to stay in the heart of Delhi. So be prepared for noise, dirt and questioning the security of your valuables.
