Maybe the kitchen is a bit small, and the showers have the worst system ever!. But everything else is good. Two doors with electronic keys, helpful staff, comfortable beds, bikes to rent... And as Bruges is really small you can get everywhere from the hostel.
My one problem with this hostel is that to access the showers you have to walk through a bar, then a kitchen, then an outside courtyard. Not so convenient at any time especially on a Saturday night when the bar is super full of people. The bathrooms were pretty grimy as well. An update to this hostels facilities would make it an excellent place to stay.
1. Terrible noise at night! Impossible to sleep - lots of guys drink beer and listening loud music in the bar downstairs. 2. The showers are very far away from your rooms - you have to pass through the bar and yard to reach it. 3. Dear staff, please provide more than one electricity socket in the dormitory! But anyway, everything is clean, breakfast is ok, atmosphere is good. And the staff is really superb! Very friendly and helpful! Thank you guys!
The bar downstairs is Awesome, good beers for an even better price. bar tender is also a Swell guy. The cleaner is out of her mind crazy. I thought she was going to cry she was yelling so much. Nothing was said about there being a lockout of the rooms but she made it pretty clear we where not welcome...for atleast another hour. Eaasssy tiger.
Cheap price, not so clean, ordinary atmosphere, regarding to Bruges extra-ordinary city mode, more authentic hotel or hostel can be choosen with more Money.
I would recommend this place to everyone. Good location, great staff and pub within hostel is what this hostel make a great place to stay.
Close to the city center and a great atmosphere in the common room. Beds were nice and comfy
A decent hostel in a good location. The staff were friendly enough and the breakfast did the job. Facilities were OK however the eight bed dorm was a bit cramped.
Great little hostel and bar, close to bruge center.
The room at the first floor (4 beds) is very bad smell.
For the price you pay it is very good. The staff are really welcoming and the atmosphere is very relaxed. However there is no storage in the rooms probably because they can squeeze a couple more beds in. It was very cramped in the larger rooms where you share with up to 12!
Very good hostel. Great atmosphere. Great beers. Wifi is ok when not too many people on there. Would definitely go back. Only negative, which isn't that bad, was small rooms, and a narrow windy staircase to rooms. Good stay.
I liked this hostel, all the staff was friendly except the cleaning lady, but I rarely saw her. the bar downstairs made it very easy to meet people which is exactly what I'm trying to do. only bad thing to say is the showers being a little inconvenient to get to but compared to what could be bad at a hostel, that's nothing. cheap place to rent bikes to to get around the city, highly recommend it
Snuffel is a great place!! The atmosphere is fantastic, so if you're traveling alone is perfect for that. Making friend is not a problem. They have a really nice breakfast and THE BEST PRICE for the beer!! The stuff is really nice, and different programs like the free walk tours.

I was booked into a 14 bed dorm, and one night when I came home they had added 2 new beds into the room making it a 16 bed dorm. To do this they had thrown around a few of my friends belongings around the room with no notice or permission. I forgot her name but the staff member with the brown hair and fringe was absolutley lovely!! One of the best staff I've ever met working at a hostel.
You will not find anything better than this one in Bruges!
I was surprised when I arrive at Snuffel to see how dirty it was. The bedrooms are disgusting and my mattress had stains on it. The bathrooms were less than ideal. I knew before about the showers being outside, but I didn't realize that the rest was going to be so gross. There was only one outlet in the entire room, so you have to go to the lockers if you want to charge your stuff. The bar downstairs seemed fun, but I feel like the hostel was overpriced and dirty. I wouldn't recommend staying

Good place. Friendly and helpful staff. Cheap bike rental. Annoying that you have to walk through the bar to get to the showers.
The Hostel is definitely a party Hostel. They have the cheapest beers in town so you meet locals and people staying at the Hostel. But if you have been walking the whole day and you want to go sleep early, you better buy earplugs. Not even with them the rest is possible, the beds are shaking because of the music. But it's a good Hostel anyway, good breakfast, bus infront, super nice staff, nice kitchen and terrace...Would stay there again =)
TOO FAR away the poor shower room, I nearly died there for the VERY WARM water. One room ONE electricity power charge?!! Do you think we still live in the Medieval society?! My bad luck: in our 8-person room, there were 6 US young guys. Maybe they came from farms, so they talked in a very loud American-English until middle-night 2 o'clock!! I know why everyone dislike US tourists since then....SO, the only advantage is the price. But you know what the low-price always means.
