I really enjoyed my stay here. It's a quirky kitsch kind of place with lots of character & a break from the norm. If you want modern squeaky clean, this isn't the place for you, but i really enjoyed it. Yes you have to walk through the bar & a courtyard to get to the showers, but i didn't mind that as in the mornings there was no one in the bar anyway & it's only a tiny courtyard. The breakfast was good, & bed was sooooo comfy! The bar was noisy til 12:30 at night, but good fun!
in order to pass into our room whitch was o 4 bed mix dorm me had to pass throu a 8 mix dorm room.the door of our room was inside of another room.in order to have shower you have to pass throu the bar of the hostel.
A towel or info that it wasn't part of the accommodation would've been nice.

This hostel is disgusting! First of all, you check in at the bar, so its not really secure and you don't understand a thing the guy says cause its too loud. Second of all, they gave us the room 22 (AVOID!). We were a group of 4 girls and our room was the "emergency room" so everyone's card could unlock our door! Let me tell you that we were a little surprised when 3 guys walked into the room at 2AM. Finally, you have to go through the bar to take a shower...which is activated by a string.
The bar was pretty interesting, although it had a band playing which meant there was no space to hang out inside. I usually don't mind loud hostels, but you could feel the bass vibrations in our room. Thankfully they stopped before 11pm since we had to wake up early. Also, anyone coming in from the bar could've easily entered the hostel area. Facility-wise, the lockers were really nice, spacious and included chargers; however, the shower arrangement was annoying (other reviews explain it well).
An amazing hostel. Staff is very nice. The hostel has a complete youth atmosphere, with a bar, a colored decoration, and a lot of shortcuts (or not), for instance you have to go through the bar to go to the shower. The breakfast is perfect. The best Youth Hostel. Cheap and so incredible
This hostel was DISGUSTING. first, we had to check in at the BAR of the hostel, which was just the beginning of our awful experience. Our first night there, the bar was extremely loud and the music blared through the floor and into our room. COULD NOT SLEEP! Secondly, to take a shower you had to go down stairs, through the bar, outside, and into another building. The showers were practically medieval, because you had to pull a chain to get the water. there was HAIR EVERYWHERE. Awful experience
Nice hostel with fun bar and good kitchen and cheap bike rental. Staff are nice, especially the bar man with the long hair. The showers are pretty terrible, just about cold and run on a pull cord (kind of like flushing an old toilet) and you need to have it pulled down the whole time. good breakfast and decent beds.
The only good think about this hostel was the kitchen
Excellent hostel, would stay again. Great breakfast included. Showers were not hot, wifi average. Brilliant staff, very helpful and friendly. Supermarkets nearby. Great kitchen.
The best hostel you will find in brugge!!go there!
Showers are disgusting and you have to walk outside to get to them; there is a super loud bar downstairs until 3 am and you feel like you are sleeping on a subwoofer; bunkbeds are so low you cannot even sit: one toilet for about 24 people... should I continue? AVOID! (But centrally located with breakfast). Also don't get there too late because the directions on how to get there from the central place are inexact.

There were few lockers to put your stuff in. Rooms were ok, but there were no tables or chairs to put things and little space. As you may know, you have to cross the bar on the ground floor to get to the showers. This wasn't so unomfortable, you ca get easily changed once you get to the shower room. The very uncomfortable thing is that, once you are inside the shower, you have to pull down a big chain hanging from the ceiling to get water for the shower!! A button would be better!
The hostel is really more of a bar and has no lounge area upstairs where the bedrooms are. The bedrooms are very packed and the lockers are inconveniently placed outside of the rooms on the first floor. There is no wifi upstairs and there's no lounge area in the evening since the bar scene is happening. There seemed to be one bathroom per floor (for at least 25 people) and I didn't even see a shower. The hostel is great if you just need a place to stay and don't care about anything else.
Great location, nice bar and breakfast, you can also use the kitchen. very bad showers, no hot water really, internet only downstairs.
Good overall. Showers had a weird set up. Nice beer selection and good atmosphere at the bar. Staff was great, very helpful.
when I arrived, I got everything well explained, the atmosphere was good, the next day, at breakfast, everything was relax, so we had a good start of the day. my best regards, Sara

The staff weren't particularity helpful. We paid for a 4 bed ensuite but the toilets were outside and the shower was impossible to use without flooding everything. To use the shared showers you have to cross the pub and walk between the customers and the kitchen. Also we tried to cook in the kitchen but we end up eating with improvised forks as for some reason, there was no cutlery. I would not recommend this hostel, not even for a single night.
Maybe the kitchen is a bit small, and the showers have the worst system ever!. But everything else is good. Two doors with electronic keys, helpful staff, comfortable beds, bikes to rent... And as Bruges is really small you can get everywhere from the hostel.
