Our stay was too brief to capitalise on its many organised activities although judging from the looks of things, they're plenty informative and fun. Fred was amazing as a host. The night is buzzing and the location is A+! The major grouse is the location of the shower; one has to cross a busy bar with people having breakfast with a bedhead and a woolly mouth! Not the best time to be seen defo. Wifi+personal lamp would be great additions.

Great hostel, good location. As a couple, we took the double room, which had its own shower. Really comfortable

Wonderful little bar in the hostel, not too far from the train station and very VERY close (three minute walk) from the Bruges Grand Place. Very affordable, the included breakfast was decent (toast and cereal, coffee, and tea), the people there were all nice, lockers are free (use your own lock or 5E deposit, refundable), just plan to get up early if you need the restroom before checkout, because i'm pretty sure there's just the one. I would definitely stay here again.

I had a great time here! The staff was very helpful and friendly. I wish that the showers were more easily accessible from the rooms but other than that I had a great time. I love that everything was fair trade and still reasonably priced.

It was a little bit inconvenient to go to the bathroom since we had to across a little garden and it was very cold outside.

The showers are too far away and you have to cross a bar to go in there which is not very nice.

We spent the night in a 4-bedroom that was clean and warm. There were toast, cornflakes and different spreads like butter, jam, chocolate and cookie paste as well as coffee, tea, and milk for breakfast which was totally fine. You can use the kitchen in the back of the bar and make yourself something you may buy next door at the grocery store. The only thing bothering is the fact that you have to go through the bar to get to the showers. Unfortunately, we had to leave early bc one of us was sick.

The hostel was quiet and I had the whole room to myself. Internet didn't work anywhere else apart from the bar, so I was there everynight. Atmosphere was very friendly and staff was helpful. The whole stay was so enjoyable that I extended the trip in Bruges for 5 days and cut short the days in Ghent, and it turned out to be the right decision. Will not recommend walking to the hostel if you have a wheeled suitcase though, since lanes are all cobbled, pretty but not easy on the wheels.

The staff wasn't really helpfull. The bathrooms were dirty, and the showers located across the patio, the water from the showers was cold and it wasn't private at all, you could bearly take a shower. The heat was poor too and the room was frozen.

Everything about the hostel was OK, except for having to go through the snow to have a shower hehe.

The showers are pretty far from the rooms. In the cold you must walk through the bar, the kitchen and the garden to get showers. It's difficult to use them too. The beds were not clean but they gave clean sheets. Inside the room there are lockers. And the breakfast is not bad. Except from these I didn't like the hostel. I don't recommend it especially in winter. Better look somewhere else to stay.

Nice place, friendly staff. There isn't really a common room, rather the bar downstairs serves as one, and wifi only works there. In some rooms, including mine, the shower is actually in the room, separated by a couple of curtains, and there is a button that must be constantly depressed for the waterflow! Pretty annoying, but not a dealbreaker. Overall a pretty decent place to stay.

The hostel was a great place to stay to wander around Bruges and staff were really helpful about day trips around Belgium. Two things i really didnt like about the hostel. 1. The showers! Many people have already commented on them and they really are the biggest pain, not only to get to since its dpwnstairs through the courtyard, unisex and difficult to use. pulling on the chain was not fun and the water pressure was crazy. It felt lile something out of boot camp. 2. The thin windy creeky stairs

The worst thing is the snail type stairs. It`s terrible for anyone to go up those stairs with any kind of luggage you carry. Another bad thing was that the showers close at 12 at night. They just turn off the ligths and that's it. And the bar isn't open till late at night. At 23.30 the bartender starts telling your that he has to close de bar and doesn't even let you stay there Dispite all those things, the staff is really kind and attentive, the prices are in good value and the rooms are great

Only stayed for one night but the hostel has a great vibe and is in an amazing city. We checked in very late and there was no problem because the reception is in the bar and that was still open and full of people. If you want to meet people and share some drinks this is a great place to stay and it is charming enough to make you forgive for the showers being downstairs and outside.

Very good hostel, I've stayed there for just 1 night but the staff helped me giving a map and aswering everything about sighseeing, places to go shopping, etc. as well as they gave me a city map and a discount card. The facilities aren't brand new but they work, I booked a 4 bed room that was really good, the only problem was that to get there I had to pass trough the 8 beds dorm and unvoluntary make some noise, disturbing those who were sleeping there.

There was no handsoap in the bathrooms which was kind of gross. Rooms were decently sized. There weren't lockers in the room which would have been nice. Good for the price and easy to find.
