Very friendly staff and very good location. Highly recommended. For sure, we will be back! Greetings from an argentinan and a spanish one :)

The hostel is in a lovely building. The room I stayed in faced the street, but there was hardly any street noise. The French doors open to a large balcony from which one can observe the city. The room was huge and airy with natural light during the day and light-blocking curtains at night. Two notable things that I appreciated greatly: 1) The bunk beds are wooden, so there was hardly any squeaking. 2) The lockers were not made of metal, no banging noises.

It's an okay hostel: very nice rooms with good storage cabinets and windows, a nice kitchen, and everything is pretty new and 'cool' looking. But, the location is pretty far out of centre if you're only staying in Porto for a couple days and the atmosphere here isn't very good, especially compared to your other options in Porto. Also, there were some cleanliness/insect issue in the kitchen.

A nice place to stay for a couple of nights. The evenings in the garden are truly memorable. Thanks for the guidance.

Such a great hostal!!!! Very beautiful building, huge rooms, everything was very clean, big lockers with no deposit. The common areas are very comfortable and you feel at home right away. Too bad the nice garden is not accomodated. Only 2 bathrooms and doors of toilet and shower are almost transparent, which is a bit weird. Very quiet at night. A bit far from the center (15min walking at least). Our best hostal during the whole stay.

Our 2-day stay was quite pleasant. Good lounging areas and everything was comfy and organised in the bedrooms. Lockers were large. Staff was very nice and showed us on the free maps they offered, the locations of the best traditiional portuguese cuisine and clubs, at very good prices. Hope you enjoy your stay !

Very nice hostel, all refurbished and in a modern style, such as common areas and rooms that are large and bright. From that position we could go to town centre just walking ten minutes, leaving our car in a free parking nearby. There is also a first aid medical centre across the corner.

It was so cool

So cool really isn't that cool. The hostel is very clean and modern - common areas included. The staff are friendly but do not go out of their way to help you. We stayed at another hostel in Porto (gallery) which was so amazing it ruined our time at "SoCool". We payed for a laundry service in the morning and when we came back in the evening i asked about my laundry. The staff member simply pointed to a basket of wet laundry. For some this will be the best hostel you will have stayed in - not us.

Best scented hostel. Huge and spacious rooms. Super clean and comfy bed. Staff could be a little more helpful since there was no one in the reception for most of the time so i couldnt ask for much information. Overall a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

Probably the nicest facilities for a hostel I've stayed in. Huge backyard and common room. Nice kitchen and bedrooms. Atmosphere was a little weird and different but not in a bad way. Location was a outside of where I would have liked to stay but its walkable to the city centre if your not in a hurry.

Great new hostel with amazing kitchen and lounge area. Spacious lockers and rooms and comfortable beds. Staff were super friendly and thorough in their welcome and we're great with providing tips about the town and things to see!

Really good Hostel located only few minutes far from the city center! Every facility is quite new and clean. Breakfest was a really good surprise! Many tasty and fresh options. Wifi works in every room. Would stay there again for sure!

The hostel is very clean and nice, beautiful building, very comfortable beds, quite good kitchen. The staff are very nice. Good breakfast. However it is a little bit far from the centre (20 min walk, difficult with pack from train station), and there's not a great atmosphere. Of course this depends on who is staying, but they don't organise any social activities in the hostel. I would definitely recommend it if you want to have some r& r.
