we had a great stay at so cool. clean rooms and bathrooms, beds were quiet (they can often be creaky) and the staff and breakfast were great. would absolutely stay here again on a return trip to porto.
Very good stay in that backpacker for 2 days in october, dorms are very spacious, hostel is very clean, bed comfy, free wifi, and breakfast is filling and good !! Staff was friendly as well, in short it's a so cool hostel !! ;)
Staff in the hostel is very pleasant, rooms are clean. Breakfast included, common places are very nice. Also good location (15 min. walking from center) ;)
I had great time at So Cool Hostel, Porto. That's a really clean hostel, well located (close to Porto's city center), good breakfast and the entire staff is really kind !! Thank you very much :) Kevin Mondot

Probably wouldn't recommend this hostel. No activities available from the hostel (bikes, pub crawls etc) and bathrooms are a shocker - basically see-through doors so you can see into the toilet next to you. Also, two showers and two toilets for a whole hostel of girls to use? But of a joke. Lots of staff doing a whole lot of nothing most of the time.
Lovely hostel and building, needed more power points in the rooms. Highlight was the lovely staff member who checked is in! Not much of an atmosphere but good for relaxing.
It was a very nice hostel, with good facilities. The bad thing is that it wasn't very close to the center, historic places or night life. It takes about a 20 min walk to get to any nice spot. It doesn't encourage socialisation either. Extremely calm and quiet.
Very far away from everything, so not very easy to walk around town. (25mins one way, just to get a little close to the center). The day staff are pretty much useless, we got there when yhey where on break and didnt knew much. Its pretty but just not very convenient.
A bit far away from the city centre but close to a metro station.
The front desk lady was so accommodating. We really appreciated her service, especially late night. Facilities are nice, although there is no elevator, so be prepared to haul your bags up flights of stairs.

The rooms were very large and bright. The staff were friendly and attentive. The kitchen living space is very cool. Breakfast included. Towel and sheets included. The garden is great. In the lounge they have lots of information about what you can do in Porto. The location is just 2 metro stops from the centre. So I imagine it's very walkable also. Very good value for money.
When I first arrived there was several people waiting to be checked in and I was told by them that 'the staff were busy' and was told we could use to wifi while we waited etc. It was no big deal, as I was in no rush, and none of the guests were bothered either. The lady who checked everyone in didn't rush, and took the time to show each person around individually etc, and apologized. When i said needed to leave at 3am, she was super accommodating about that, above and beyond!! Would recommend!
The place was really cool as its name with all that street art, the staff was helpful and always willing to help
