I thought the hostel was fine. Very quiet and comfortable. Had trouble with the WiFi, as did others. Lacks a youthful atmosphere, but I stayed during the lull of the tourist season. There is no security except the locks on the doors (I.e. no lockers). I think they target an older demographic - perhaps 30 year olds or so.

Great location, and a huge room. Facilities very clean, but some things (like bathrooms) showing their age. Staff was helpful enough, but seemed a bit overloaded or rushed. Location is perfect.

Our "double bed" was unfortunately two single beds put together, and any attempt to move would immediately create a huge hole between them. Also, the heating did not seem to be working properly, and the internet connection was poor. Apart from that, it was a reasonable value for money and the location is great.

I've stayed in a double bed shared bathroom. The room was very small. The bathroom was not cleaned all days. No accessbility!! The elevator was broken when we arrived and it was hard go upstairs with the luggage. And inside the hostel, we have to clim another stairs that was very narrow to pass with luggage. Internet didn't work very well. However it has a great location and the price is ok.

In the description of the hostel we can read that we will have a delicious breakfast, I'll copy directly from the site: " Each morning guests can have a delicious sweet or savory breakfast, which is served in the large breakfast room, decorated ceilings and photos of Florence" and that's NO TRUE. The internet is not included too. When we do the check out and we would like to leave our luggage and they forced us to come back at 4, even if the reception is until 23 pm.

BED BUGS. The bathroom is filthy, the reception isn't open for the hours stated on the website nor the sign outside the door. Internet access only in the lobby and only 2 people can be on at one time. Overall a very uncomfortable experience; I would not wish this hostel on anyone. DO NOT STAY HERE.

This hostel is in a great location and our room was actually quite lovely, more like a hotel or guesthouse than a hostel. We had a lot of autonomy, privacy, and a very good time. We'll try to stay at Soggiorno Pitti again in the future.

This place was really nice. A little hard to find, but I was very satisfied. It's pretty bare though, meaning bring soap. Like, bring handsoap for the bathroom. It costs a Euro to rent a towel, but that was fine. The location was perfect! I loved being right in the middle of Florence. The rooms were pretty clean, but the comforter look a little worse for wear. Overall, a great hostel, and I would definitely stay there again!

Fab location!Shared batroom was always clean & had toilet paper! The beds were very comfortable, although after a week in my bed I did leave with a few bites, it was the end of october so I suspect there were bed bugs,so beware! The staff were pleasent, and quite helpful, they did speak ok english too. The hostel was not fun, the common room (which incorperated the reception) was not open 8-11 as stated & was not always manned. It shut at 9.30 or earlier every night so we had no social area-bad!

I've stayed on a private room and using the shared bathroom was reeeeally hard because it was occupied all the time, so maybe the place could use more bathrooms. It's not really a place for meeting new people and breakfast costs 4 euros, it's not included!

#15 shares a door with the next room marked private, staff maybe? so with the marble floors and paper thin door they may as well be in the room with you! nice location but with at least 4 other hostels in town I'd look elsewhere!

Location was exceptional, cleaning lady was precious, bathrooms always sparkled, only one bath was at times challenging for dorm room, wifi should be expanded to the rooms, lack of kitchen facilities meant eating out in an expensive city, hostel for sleeping as there were no scheduled activities, Pros: Discount for juice, coffee, danish in restaurant downstairs. Elevator, having own key for access, quiet in evenings at least in Oct. Short hike to train station

Beds in room 8 very soft and saggy. Sore backs as a result. Excellent restaurant recommendations, especially Casalinga. Staff were pleasant, spoke passable English. A nice change from hostels frequented by twenty year olds who are looking to party until the wee hours. (No offense, I just like my sleep) We had no trouble finding it, but the staff seemed surprised by that. If you look for the blue building numbers, rather than black store unit numbers, you're fine. Also there's a flag out front.

Hostel is located in an excellent area, staff gave us great tips on where to eat and what to see and even helped us with traffic issues. Nevertheless, there was no breakfast included, which was not mentioned in their website. They have an agreement with a small pub nearby but options are poor. However, markets can be found close to the hostel.

Loved my stay at Soggiorno Pitti. The location was great, a 2 minute walk from the Uffici, and really no more than a 10-15 minute walk to anywhere you would want to go in Florence. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were also great. Just watch out, this hotel is in the restricted traffic zone, so if you are driving a car make sure to give the staff your license plate number or you will get a ticket.

This was one of the worst dorm rooms I have stayed in. There were too many beds crammed in the room, making it very awkward to get to sleep. There were no lockers to store your valuables. We didn't have any blankets on our first night (we asked for them the second night). There was no screen on the window, and a lot of mosquitos came in the night and bit us! There was only one bathroom for the whole floor. The location was great and the staff were friendly, but I really don't recommend the dorms
