The place is pretty far from the SMN train station, so if you are walking with luggage, it is a far trek. But it is close to Ponte Vecchio, and right in the Piazza Pitti with the Palazzo Pitti across the street. So it is a nice area, the food in the trattorias nearby is better than in the center close to the Duomo

Very good location, clean, quiet. Shared bathroom wasn't a problem but we came not in a busy period.

This hotel was nice and the man at the reception was very kind. We booked for 2 double bed room and they were very nice and quite big! However, for the parking that the hotel offers, was not quite well. We have to book for the parking before arriving there. And the internet did not functioned as recommended!! We couldn't access with any password! ... By the ways, we were very lucky that we could find other source for the Wifi from our room! ... (not sure where it comes!?!) Overall ... good!

Although initially we were very nicely greeted, the other personnel was not nice at all. The mattresses are also very deteriorated and blankets are not readily available. It is very good located anyway.

We thought that the lack of staff was terrible . The reception hours were unacceptable . If you ever needed anything and you heading out early no one was around. By early I mean 9 9 30 . We thought it cold and very unfriendly. Having said that the rooms were ok . If you wanted to get a cup of coffee in the morning out of the machine you had to wait for someone to turn up . the reception hours were 9am to 10pm half the time no one turned up until almost 10 in the morning. Not good enough !!!

No respetan los horarios de atención que postean. Los encargados no son muy cordiales. No es un hostel para turistas jóvenes, es más una pensión.

Well... the hostel was average in general. There is no internet inside the bedrooms, neither lockers and bathroom was quite busy during the morning, because it was just one for many people!

For Florence, this is a great hostel to meet fellow travelers and have a clean place to stay. The staff are super friendly, and the common area is very comfortable. It's a hostel and not a hotel, so don't expect a private bathroom or peace and quiet- that isn't what hostels are about in my humble opinion. As some others have posted, the internet is highly unreliable- I was not able to get service for more than three minutes at a time. Some other travelers did not have trouble, however.

Although the location is decent, the hostel has limited hours of reception and a staff that does little to help. The bathroom (the only one on my floor) was closed from the first evening of my stay until I left. I asked to see what was going on and no one knew and they said they would ask the manager and let me know. I heard nothing and the bathroom never opened, forcing me to use one 3 stories below. The room was small, with an uncomfortable bed. There was no breakfast provided. I could go on.

Hot water in shower and bathrooms cleaned daily. I was in a 5 bed mix dorm- it was a tight fit, but manageable. Room was very warm most nights, and mosquitos come in when the widow is opened- but thats to be expected. I\'m guessing it gets very hot in the middle of summer.

If its possible, give more than one set of keys. I'm not always with my roommates and we got separated and I couldn't get in in the middle of the night. Also, shower bar in our shower was a little broken. Internet didn't work at times.

The location is great and the house really sweet. However, some infornation on this website is not quite true. First, the official reception time is from 9 to 21h and not even during this time there's always somebody there. In that case, also the "common room" is closed. Second, there was no breakfast - we didn't even see a "breakfast room". Third, there are no "parking facilities" - you are invited to park in an expensive private garage. In addition to that, the walls are thin as paper.

Location is great. We stayed twice at this hostel. However, the sound stripping is really poor. It was rather noisy in the nights. We could hear neighbours’ conversations all the time. Moreover, neighborus were noisy.

The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. I had made a mistake with my booking, they were able to get me into the right room for the right amount of nights with no hassle at all. I really appreciate the professional atmosphere, tidy rooms, friendly staff, and excellent location at the Soggiorno Pitti. I Stay there every time I go to Florence, and I recommend it to friends with no hesitation. Thank you again Soggiorno Pitti.

Location was great, staff very helpful and room was clean and tidy. We did though find it very noisy, as walls very thin and doors didn't shut very well. Found it quite difficult to sleep with people coming and going at all hours of the night.

Was more of a nice hotel than Hostel I thought. really great area and safe. Wanted more of a hostel atmosphere but didn\'t find it there. The restaurant next door has great food deals if you\'re short on cash
