Hostelworld guests have said Soho People's Square Youth Hostel has 'an amazingly relaxed bohemian atmosphere', including two rooftop patios and several rooms overlooking Jiuzi Park. The nearest metro station is XinZha Road on Line 1, and this 'safe and affordable' hostel is also within walking distance of Nanjing Road and People's Square. For those seeking local cuisine, the hostel is also 'across the river from...some excellent local food places', according to one of our users.

Shanghai Soho International Hostel, is ideally located in the most central of shanghai. we are only a five-minute walk from the metro station
line 1 xinzha road station (with a super transport network ). Walking distance the major attractions, like People Square and Nanjing shopping street etc.
In a 150 year old building ,The unique loft-style and traditional shanghai-style decoration invite our fellow travellers to relax in our Soho bar, enjoy delicious food, or read our books and surf our mega-fast internet in our reading area

I think what makes us special is out location. We're located right by one of the most special rivers in Shanghai - Su Zhou River. There's even an amazing park nearby, and our building is one of the few historic building still remaining in town. Nowhere else in Shangai has the kind of spot we do - this is the real taste of the city!

We're one big family here. I mean, all of our staff truly understand you both physically and geographically, and of course you wouldn't find anyone else in China who can speak as good of English as we do...no joking!
I would say the old French Concession would definitely be the one place where everyone should walk around. Of course, most bars and clubs are there for you to find, too. If you have a particular taste in bars just ask and we can find it for you.
