The location was good,.right in the heart of the most touristy area. It was close to all the main attractions and the train station Atocha. The atmosphere at the hostel was perfect...everyone came to get down. Good breakfast. Guest kitchen. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the rooms were reasonably priced and clean...Also the staff was very helpful and accomadating to your needs...definitely stay here if you are looking for the Madrid experience.

The hostel is not located in Madrid city centre. However, I could take the subway so I don't have any inconvenience. The staff is very friendly and warm. However I felt the facilities are mostly old.

Great place, clean, comfortable and a decent social room. we enjoyed our stay. All the staff were very very friendly. It was very fun, lots of people to get to know, and good to meet fellow travellers, It was close to a metro station and they gave us a map and even told us where to go.

The hostel was kind of out of the way from central Madrid, but I was able to use the Metro system to get anywhere I wanted to go. There was breakfast included (pretty bare-bones, but still appreciated). I was in a dorm, but it had its own bathroom attached, which was nice. They assigned not only rooms, but beds, which helped avoid confusion. Not bad, but still a hostel.

I really liked this hostel. When I booked I though it would be bad, not so clean uns very far from the center, but it wasn't! The personal there are really nice and the rooms are clean and with a very good atmosphere. I seriously reccomend this hostel, is in the center of Madrid and also the breakfast is really good!!

The atmosphere was great. We got to meet a lot of people. And in the first day we arrived there was a party! The bathrooms were not so clean, and having only a bathroom for 14 people it's a bit too much. The shower didn't have much pressure, and therefore taking a shower took more time than usual. The location was good, you could easily catch the metro (5 minute walk to the metro) and be in the city center in 15 minutes. The best thing was that the breakfast was included, this saved us money.

I didn't like it. Even though the room looked fine, you should expect bad location, awkward surrounding, the guy from the reception a bit slow. They should have more blankets and the kitchen is dirty.

dorm was cold, beds with no spare blankets, only 2 toilets and 1 shower for over 20 people in our floor...

Staff are friendly and helpful. This place could be really good with a bit more character. This could be done with a new paintjob. Is a wee bit sterile in it's current state.

THE GOOD: Nice common area, very social, elevator, spacious dorms, clean, good value for money, lots of supermarkets nearby. THE BAD: When the dorms are full expect a wait for baths, no computers for guest use, kitchen has limited equipment for self-catering, breakfast is only toast and tea/coffee, location is far from the nightlife so you need a taxi after midnight.

If you are with a group of travelers or riding solo, this is a good hostel for the price. The facilities are nothing special, but the staff are chill and nice (ignore what people have been saying). If you want to go out, there are normally people drinking together in the kitchen (common room) and you can meet others and go out. The area isn't the greatest, but just take a 5 minute metro ride and you're at Puerto del sol! I even walked to Retiro Park.
