Great stay at this hostel. Mattias and the guys who run it gave me a really friendly welcome, getting me involved in a group meal that most of the hostel were at. From then on I had some good times with the staff and fellow travellers. Recommended for a fun stay and somewhere I'd like to go back to!

If you add lockers in they room and make it a bit more quiet at night after 12h it will be perfect!!

Excellent location, just round the corner from the main plaza. Staff ultra friendly and will accommodate your needs. Internet super fast. Breakfast pretty basic but the bread is soft and yummy (unlike the stuff you get in Bolivia!). The place (including bathrooms) was always really clean when I was there.

Sol Huasi is a rather small but very nice hostel! Really nice staff, good location and easy to meet new people. I was there over the weekend and ended up going out every night because the staff starts partying in the common area at nine o'clock and it was hard to not get involved! :) Only stay there when you feel like having a good time otherwise I would recommend finding a more quiet hostel!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the bathrooms are a major problem. The are only 3 toilets for the entire hostel and they are inside the bathrooms with the showers, so if someone is taking a shower you don't have access to a bathroom for a very long time. I went to the airport early to use their bathrooms!

Worst breakfast I have ever had. Shower filthy.Whole experience spoilt by behaviour of young English lads snorting cocaine and unruly behaviour continuing till after six in the morning. All this was condoned and encouraged by member of staff Manuel. For many people a very unpleasant experience. I felt sorry for the owner for she is a very pleasant and polite lady.

Good location, good vibe. The staff joins and leads the party, usually that's good, sometimes a bit too much. Beware that the highly recommended Cafayate tour is pretty boring and you spend most of time on the bus. Not enough showers/toilets (that are unfortunately coupled) and not in a good state. Don't miss out on going to Viajo Jack and ordering the bife de chorizo as the staff recommends. Overall a fun hostel to be in.

While the location is great the Hostel is very dirty, the Internet/wifi is terrible and the window in our room facing the corridor wouldn't close so it was impossible to sleep with people making noise outside. Wouldn't recommend it.

Really enjoyed our stay! We were there over Paddy's Day. Unfortunately Salta doesn't have an Irish bar that we could celebrate in but the hostel certainly helped us out there. The staff are also very conscious of keeping those partying away from the areas people are sleeping so we had two big nights partying and two good nights sleep in the one place! Thanks Manuel!!

A small hostel with an amazing atmosphere - staff are absolutely awesome and very helpful. Breakfast was average, and so was beds and shower facilities, but overall the location and the staff trump everything else. You need more bathrooms though!!

I usually use hostelworld as my hostel bible, but I was surprised at this place's high rating... dirty, loud, hot, run-down... the location couldn't be better, but I would not stay here again.

Nice friendly hostel, staff are really helpful and there is a 24 hour reception if you arrive in the middle of the night, as I did. It´s worth knowing, that the doors are locked overnight and you have to buzz to get in - the buzzer is on the outer doorframe, not next to the inner door - which I found just as I was having visions of spending the night on the doorstep! Excellent location right next to the main square. Sociable hostel, but also quiet if you are getting up early for tours.
