The place was basic and ok, nothing special. The most annoying part was that the receptionist is hardly ever around if you want info etc (reception door is always shut). You have to call him/buzz downstairs and hope he is around. He wasn't particularly enthusiastic or friendly but polite enough when you could catch him. Breakfast is very ordinary - a stale packaged croissant and juice or coffee. Location is good to Colliseum/Roman forum. Close to metro/bus for other sites. Average stay overall.
Bags have to be left in reception - no lockers. When we tried to retrieve our bags before leaving the next day it was locked and the receptionist wasn't answering his phone, we nearly missed our train! Fortunately a couple came back but this was very poor service. Breakfast was very disappointing too, croissants in a packet.
We LOVED our stay at Sole e Luna! It was very clean, quaint and the bathroom was fantastic (an actual shower stall)! The best part was it's location - right near the metro and about 8-10 mins to the colosseum. Would def stay here again!
Good location. 20 mins walking from Roma Termini Station. Clean room, good beds and bathroom, but only one per floor for sharing with other rooms. it was hot and only gave us 2 little fans. A 4 bed room and only 2 plugs =/ Included a little fast breakfast, nice touch, and free WiFi. Not so good : The reception is not open 24/7, didn't have a kitchen.
The owner was so nice the room was good not bad and the best thing tht I like is this hostel is located in a very good location which is really close to the centre of rome like it takes only 5 mins walk to go to colosseum and the metro also there s a bus stop right in front of the house tht u can take to the train station or u can go by foot only 10-15 mins walking :))
