they put free Wi-Fi, it isn't. they put breakfast, it isn't. for all the other stuff...it's ok for 19$ x night.
Staff was unfriednly, hostel was filthy, blitchen really gross on the evening, no real possibility to park your car (only on the street where you have to change places every 2 hours)
I stayed here for a week in the basic dorm. Really nice hostel, close to everything in the west end, only a short walk to southbank, however the hostel offer a shuttle service every hour to and from southbank. Everyone in the hostel staff and guests are really friendly an helpful. After traveling Aus for a year this is one of my fave hostels I've stayed in.

Really nice place! Cool staff, good value, perfect for meeting people and hanging out. No complaints :)
The staff is awesome but I was never so disrespected by the people in the room. Everybody leaves there, so they really don't care. They talk, do noises, smoke, turn the lights on even though there are 3 people sleeping! The location of the hostel in West End is good but it is in a very dark street, I was always afraid of going back late in the night alone.
The staff and facilities are awsome great atmosphere id recomend this hostel to anyone staying in brisbane
Nice hostel with all the facilities you would expect just let down by the long term stayer which ruined the atmosphere and cleanliness of dorm rooms. Staff were really helpful and location in west end was perfect and only 10 minute walk to southbank.
Very pleasant and friendly environment. Lots of people doing working visa here so are long stay. Old building has a nice feel to it. Had to pay for WiFi and rooms are not that clean because people are literally living there.
Loved staying here with my sister in a private room. Parking is hard to find though but the night manager did help luckily. Quiet time is good on Friday night. But on Saturday night it isn't very noisy except when you have someone playing guitar loudly at the table outside your door lol. Perhaps having tables so close to rooms may not be that good for the people inside the rooms as we could barely hear our TV and were too scared to talk to them. Otherwise it was good. Probably would stay again.

I liked my stay at "Somewhere to stay".
Good position and great view of the city, wide building, heaps of areas for staying outside but with a narrow kitchen, overcrowded most of the time. Good for long stay people.
This hostel was OK just didn't like having to go outside and upstairs to get back into the main building to have a shower and use the toilet. There were no bars or locks on the window in my room so anyone could get in and I also think my bed was broken as every time I made the slightest movement it would make a loud screech. The only good thing about the hostel is the staff were friendly and helpful, they had a free bus to the city and there are loads of restaurants just 5-10 mins walk away.
Staff was really awesome and helpful. Nice pool, chill rooms, reliable shuttle. Could do with more showers, and the guests got pretty loud at night, but overall it was a decent place to stay.
