Overall, a decent hostels. As a couple who was early to bed it was a little noisy but overall our stay was good. If you need transportation from the greyhound, be sure to call ahead.

The folks at reception were nice. The rooms felt kind of dingy. The location is not in the CBD - but I liked the West End of Brisbane. If you are looking for a cool bar, Archive Beer Boutique is right around the corner from the hostel - I went there twice and really liked it! The hostel was fine for one night, but I couldn't do much more than two nights probably.

good: nice community area, okay kitchen, free videogames, not the best location but free shuttle service bad: a homeless guy sneaked into the hostel, broke into the rooms and stole lots of stuff!!! (doors are always open!! fix that!! make the doors lock automatically when they are closed and get proper airconditioning that you can sleep with the doors closed!)

Owner Comment (Show)
Hi Mathis. Sorry but you have given the wrong information. The guy was not homeless he was a Australian man who stayed at the backpackers hostel down the road. He broke into 1 room. All doors close automatically. The room he got into was left open on purpose by the person in the room. And of course me and my staff caught him that night liek batman and everyone got there belongings back becasue of the hard work we and the police did to catch him.

The hostel did not have air conditioning and was really not clean.

Well, they could remove the dust from their lamp shades occasionally and the shower heads are placed pretty low but except that it`s just a beautiful place to stay. They have the most comfortable TV zone I have seen in a hostel and There are palm trees everywhere, all in all it has a great atmosphere. I definitely enjoyed staying there.

The staff were great and I felt included from the moment I arrived! I had so much fun at this hostel, I stayed for 10 days and could have stayed longer because it was so chilled and fun!

We only stayed here for the one night but the hostel was very nice and homely and even had a couple of cats lying around! Very sociable if your a backpacker with a free BBQ on thursday nights. Music is turned off at 10pm so if your not of the partying type you actually get some sleep! Close enough to get down to Southbank with the hostel running a good shuttle service there and back every hour.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and for the cheap price, you certainly get what you pay for. There are no air-cons, so if you sleep on the top bunk bed, you won't get to feel the table (floor?) fan at all. Location-wise, it's walking distance to convenience stores (7-Eleven and NightOwl), restaurants, cafes, bars, etc, and their free shuttle bus hourly helps too, though we only used it once. As a non-smoker, I found the constant smoking of cigarettes on the hostel's grounds very annoying.

Somewheretostay is a very old building nd the rooms are quite dark and dingy. There are notmany showers/toilets forthe number of beds butthis never seemed to be a problem. Good location as easy to walk around and the hostel runs a free shuttle into the centre (but thi is also walkable). The staff provided good info on checkin and gave hints on local attractions.

fridges locked at night and still ppl stealing food.....so whats the point then? leave it open and appeal to the tendents to stick to their own stuff. locked frigdes just do not fit in my believes also: poor kitchen equipment but for 3 dollar u ll be given a whole set of plastic cuttlery and plate. felt treated as back in the times when were in kindergarten.... apart from that.....i had great times and met great ppl. nice staff ..
