I stayed at Somewhere to Stay for almost two weeks. It is a nice place to stay for couple of days but for long time definetly not. Staff is just crazy. Young kids (age 7-9) are up till 1am wich is just weird, stuff keeps shushing after 10pm and being rude. SWTS is really precise about being quiet after 10pm. Toilets are OK but the kitchen is small.

If your looking for a hostel where you have heaps of places to quietly kick back or mingle with others this is the place. The room was simple and clean, no issues as we read with other reviews. This is a great place, don't doubt that you do want to stay here.

Stayed here for 3 days, but the first day when we arrived we saw lots of roaches in the kitchen, in the room and even on the bed... maybe it's because the building is really old that roaches live there for a long time, but I think it's the owner's responsibility to do something about that. And the cultery they provide is PLASTIC! How can we use that to cook?! However, they provide a free bus to drop off and pick up at South bank and Library. It's pretty convenient! And the staff is nice!

Excellent place guys, always smileing, happy to help, so laid back & gave us a better rate when we arrived than we booked online. In fact liked it that much I'm still here. Only bobo was the old room switcharoo but don't think there's much that can be done about that & if that's the only complaint then you've got no worries ;0) Cheers peeps On the flip side ..........

Great hostel. Our 6 bed room was very old and worn, worn carpet, wet and mouldy walls in room and ensuite. needed sprucing up but thats the only bad point. Great communal areas. Big tv room with lots of dvds to watch. Best kitchen weve seen in an oz hostel so far, lots of cooking space and utensils! Staff so friendly. Shuttle service great. Free wifi would make this hostel even better. Overall excellent value for $19 a night. Reconnended

This hostel provides shuttle to major transportation centers EVERY HOUR! The staff is wonderful, ambiance is great and I enjoyed all the people I met while staying there. Walking to cafes, stores and entertainment. This is a VERY DESIRABLE area of Brisbane.

Great hostel, You have to pay for a lot of things that are extra, like internet, plates (that's more of a deposit though) but it was nice. We put our things on one bed and it was taken when we got back by someone else. So make sure you claim your bed properly. Also its so secure I locked myself in the toilet. So remember your keys! Would stay here again!

Grand hostel, shuttle bus is really handy too. Staff are great and there is a good vibe around the hostel. Not the most modern place but it does the trick for the price

Staff are awesome, and really helpful. Kitchen is small considering how many rooms there are! Shuttle service into town is great.

Great staff. Filthy rooms. I stayed in 3 different rooms here, and they were all pretty much the same. Dirty, stuffy and uncomfortable beds. There are not many power points, and the fans (if they worled at all) were not enough to cool the room. You have to leave the windows open, which means your going to have to deal with the noise.
