Very plain. The staff did not speak english very well and it was hard to understand them. But it was a nice place, quiet, and right on the river. Awesome location

superior a/c room (upstairs) was spacious and comfortable with sitting area inside and on the balcony. definitely liked the room, and the location was a couple blocks from the main street in town (also a number of restaurants/shops along the riverfront street that the hostel is on). no meals included in price (a bit unusual). staff was less than helpful/friendly/attentive the few times we tried to ask them for information/get our laundry done. no atmosphere for socializing.

We thought that there was air-conditioning but there was only fan. Anyway we stayed three nights.

Walking distance to city center and both rivers. Free WIFI. All in all it was a good place to stay. Would go there again

great basic hostel has everything you need and is in a great position. would happily stay here again!

It was a very basic hotel but charged much more than basic prices. Half the price would have been fair for a hotel of this standard. On the other hand, from what other people said the prices of hotels generally in Luang Prabang tend to be on the high side except for dorm beds.

Sopha house is in an amazing location over looking the river in Luang Prabang. You will pay a bit more than the average accommodation in Luang Prabang but it is definitenly worth it, with beautifuly decorated rooms and a balcony over looking the river. Staff were very nice but their English was not the best. Would definitely recommend for a quiet stay, not a party guesthouse.

Great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but very basic, no closet or drawers, shower not enclosed. Good wifi.

Guesthouse had great location and was clean. Not for singles as you to pay for both bed. Staff was friendly. As a single female, I thought it was safe.
