Loved the hostel. I was placed in a 3 bed dorm room instead of 10 which was perfect. Only bad thing to point is that the hostel should have more showers/toilets available for their guests. One is not sufficient. Their breakfast was great! Staff was friendly. The location is not bad, close to the metro and walking distance to major attractions such as the Dancing House, Wencesles Square, Charles Bridge and more.
The location is great and the staff is really friendly. The bar is amazing and the drinks are very economic. The breakfast is kinda ok and it depends on the day. The only problem that I had is that my floor didn't had hot water so I had to use the showers of the upper lever (kind of annoying)
Great staff!!! Very helpful after a guy in the dorm room took my reserved bed. They followed up and checked in daily afterwards to make sure things have improved. Easy to meet people in the bar. Wish it was more advertised if you could bring your own food or drink into the bar as it's the best lounge/socializing area as kitchen area is on the smaller size.
This hostel is part of a chain. A chain which knows how to run hostels. Be assured that the place is quiet and clean. You don't have to worry about a bunch of drunken idiots stumbling into your room at the wee hours of the morn. Yet there is also a downstairs pub, great staff, and nice people. As chains go, this is the best I have yet to encounter.
Staff were lovely, bar was nice, beer was cheaper than coffee, I love this country! But still cheap beer in comparison to some places. Showers were a little below average. The floor I was on had one nice big one and one that was shocking, everything got wet. The bar is the only real common area which might not be great if you don't drink. Kind of a far walk from most of the main sites. Probably wouldn't stay again, but was nice enough. There are closer and cheaper things with free breakfast.
great hostel, just way too many Americans staying there. had a really weird old guy as a room-mate who had some serious social problems, and others who kept turning all the lights on when they came back at 4 in the morning. the staff were cool and helpful, especially the Romanian lady. facilities were good, as well as location. but if you don't like the annoying American accents and attitudes maybe give this hostel a miss.
The staff were great. Julia was an excellent greater when we arrived.
Everything was great. Clean & good location.
Loved the breakfast but unfortunately no laundry and it was quite a walk to find one!! Very clean, lovely hostel - would definitely stay again.
Great hostel! Short walk from the city center, and the metro. Very helpful staff upon arrival, they patiently tell you all about the hostel and the facilities without rushing it. The showers, and the toilets, wow. So clean and neat, and so was the 8-bed dorm room I was in. As I was only passing through for one night I can't say much useful about the details, but I'd definitely go back there if I'm in need of a bed in Prague!
I loved the new, clean bathrooms, although I was disappointed that there were no hand towels in the bathrooms! Wifi was shockingly bad here staff were friendly and helpful and beds were comfortable
The room was extremely clean, and I loved that each suite had its own bathroom setup and kitchen area, not a shared one. I had never stayed in a hostel prior to Sophie's, and they went above and beyond my expectations. The pub crawl they had was excellent as well. The only complaint was that we had a guide with us for the first two places we went to, and he disappeared at the third one. Was fortunate enough to be a part of a large group, and we were able to walk back and find the hostel together

You really can't go wrong with Sophie's Hostel, just a great place and outrageously good value for money. The bar downstairs keeps cheap beer flowing and makes for a great atmosphere enjoyed by all that stay there. Secure setup, cleaning ladies keep the kitchen sparkling, and great bathrooms to boot too. Would happily both recommend and return :)
I was really impressed with the quality of the facilities offered. I definitely enjoyed my staying!

This hostel has a good facility except internet connection. Great shower rooms, clean toilets, comfortable beds. One thing I'm complaining about is a weak internet connection. Since we can book everything online, we need a stable connection during the transaction. I hope they'll work on that near future. A little bit far by foot from the old town, but this hostel locates on the very good tram line which takes you every important sightseeing point.
Great place. Good location, reaaly close from the train station. Friendly staff. Thank you :)
The rooms were good but a little stuffy. The bathrooms were clean but quickly got dirty during the day, I guess when there are a bunch of drunk college boys it has to be expected. There were 2 showers and 3 bathrooms for 16 people which lead to some lines in the mornings but was not too bad. The breakfast buffet was also decent.
I really enjoyed my stay at Sophie's Hostel. It's a nice hostel to meet lots of people. Also if you want to relax it's a good option. Perfect location, very easy to get there from the Metro station.
I really enjoyed my stay at Sophie's Hostel in Prague. I used to stay in a shared room with ten beds for five nights. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. A little problem was that it was not possible to open windows due to construction works at the hostel's building. Since this is a temporary matter, it is not really representative for the main character of the hostel. Atmosphere is nice, staff is friendly and there is both a bar and a daily pub crawl which I can recommend.
