This hostel was the best I have ever stayed in! The facilities were great (except for sometimes a cold shower) with free calls to my home country, big kitchen stocked with extras, comfy beds with curtains and power points, movies and music in the lounge and more. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Especially Maria and Aliona who made a fuss of one of our group on her birthday. Would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting St Petersburg as it is an experience in itself!

Everything about Soul Kitchen is perfect. Walking distance from main attractions, spacious, clean and comfortable female dorm. Amazing shower and externally spacious bathroom and kitchen. Common areas are the most comfortable and nicely decorated I have ever seen in hostels. Not a place for partying and noisy. This is a place to relax and enjoy your stay.

Really lovely interior decoration, wonderful staff with excellent cooking skills. Best cleaning i have ever seen and extremely creative (eg drawing contest at toilets). Perhaps something could be done about noise from outside (canal) and the curtains do not keep out light perfectly. Wii, internet and a whole movie catalogue are amazing.

Everything was great, the only thing that let you down was the girl who was on reception duty on the 9th and in the morning of the 10th was quite rude. All other staff were very friendly and helpful.

it's true, the best hostel so far in my life. special events almost every night, like "movie-" or "pasta-night". really recommend it!

I really loved my stay at Soul Kitchen. The hostel is GREAT! I stayed in a 8 bed dorm, and the beds were very good, with lockers, and a lot of space. The TV room is good, and the Kitchen is really good. Very good wifi(in all rooms, and areas of the hostel). Very clean bathrooms, and good showers. The staff makes a very good difference, comparing with others hostels. The girls were AMAZING. They helped me with all the questions that i had, e giving good informations... ill def come back!

The owner has clearly set out to go above and beyond the normal hostel experience. The entire hostel is immaculately clean, the staff are so friendly and its great for meeting people. The hostel is beautiful with tall ceilings and spacious common areas including new computers and games room, a full giant kitchen with new appliances, a living room and a Terrance overlooking the canal in the center of the historic old town. This is absolutely the best hostel we have ever stayed at in the world.

Only downside is its next to a canal that gives boat tours over loudspeaker, so if you don't stay out late bring some ear plugs. Also could use ac units in the summer

Clean and well equipped hostel with good location! Near two metro station and not difficult to get there. I like the decoration of this hostel very much!

Probably the best hostel i've visited anywhere! Great atmosphere, super clean, amazing kitchen, quiet dorms, centrally located. Highly recommended!

As someone who cooks a lot of his own food, I'd like to think I'm able to rate kitchens, and this hostel had easily the best guest kitchen I experienced in 2 months backpacking. Awesome staff, perfect location, comfortable & secure rooms, couldn't recommend more. Thanks guys! :-)

I was looking for a perfect hostel and I found it! So amazing, everything so cute and comfortable! I felt like home. Really nice staff ( principally the sooo sweet Anna!! ) The beds are confortable and the shower is spacious, so your clothes don't get wet. I felt safe inside and outside the hostel. The single problem is that after staying in this hostel, it will be really hard to be in another!

The dorms are very well organized with private beds which really facilitate the acquaintanceship with the room mates. It´s very clean with nice staff that provides you good tips for where to go, to eat and shop. They only have one annoying rule about not walking around with shoes on. OK, the hostel is clean but the floor is not that immaculate to make you walk on it barefooted comfortably. Not very nice too to try to sell you slippers that are allowed by the shoe rule. Soul kitchen was the best hostel I have ever stayed in! The only place where I could totally feel home! Staff is great, very helpful and friendly. Atmosphere is great! Decoration is lovely! It's very clean and safe, and its in a perfect location! I highly recommend this hostel!

THE BEST HOSTEL I'VE EVER BEEN! Everything was simply perfect! Clean, excellent atmosphere, staff completey friendly and lovely - every day they prepare in this nice kitchen something differente and everybody can participate. The place is absolutely cute! The beds have curtains and every detail is thought, all the rooms have style. At first I wondered: how come a hostel has 99% of approval in hostelworld?! It`s possible! I loved this place and really wish it exists in some other cities!

Although we could never always be together, We will never truly be apart, Because until my last breath, Soul kitchen junior will forever be in my heart!!

At first let me say: I really enjoyed my stay in the "Soul kitchen Junior". When I read the ratings at hostelworld, I was a little sceptical, because I couldn't thing of a hostel, that deserves 99% good ratings, but now that I have stayed in this hostel, I can only say: It deservs 100%!! The hostel is clean and the staff is friendly and cares about the problems of their guests. for example I asked for an other bed,because I'm a little affraid of heights and it was no problem to get one. THANK U!
