2 days before my arrival (I made my reservations a month ahead of time), I got an email telling me "due to technical difficulties, we cannot accommodate you for your stay." So for New Years Eve in Barcelona, two days before arriving, they tell me i cant stay there due to "technical difficulties". I've had tons of hostel experiences before, and never left a poor rating. But this... is unacceptable.

Cannot recommend highly enough! Great price great location. Great kitchen. I only stayed one night but met several really lovely people and the staff were helpful and laidback- i had a night flight the next day and they let me keep my suitcase in the hostel til 5pm instead of taking it with me at the earlier checkout time- really saved my day.

Around the corner from las Ramblas in a quiet backyard - just perfect! It's a 4 bedroom apt, nicely furnished and decorated, fully equipped kitchen & 2 bathrooms. The staff is friendly, helpful, always up for a chat or a night out, we had a really good time. What we didn't like were the matresses - they're really thin and worn down, so you feel like lying on plain wood sometimes, which is not very comfy. And there is no hot tub, as suggested on the facilities' page ;) Everything else is ace! =)

Had a great stay at Soul Surfer, it definitely made the experience in Barcelona even better! Very clean, chill and helpful staff that speaks English and Spanish, nice shower, and safe spot. It is a great environment for young people. Excellent location off of La Ramblas and the L'Ovella Negra bar right next door is a good time.
