First and foremost, South Beach Hostel is a party hostel. If your aim is to visit and explore south beach but aren't interested in getting drunk every night, I'd say to look elsewhere. Conversely, if parties are your thing, then I think this is probably the best one in the area for it. They have nightly events, free meals, and keep things lively. Rooms are average-sized, beds are small, and in-room amenities are lacking. In-room wifi doesn't work. Restrooms could be much cleaner, though.

This honestly has been one of my worse hostel experiences, the odor of sweat and musk extended all the way till the check in desk ( normally for hostel is only in restrooms). The beds were the worse you hurt yourself just getting into bed and no comment if you get the top bunk !! That being said Sebastian at night was extremely helpful in everything we had questions and the location! Location! Is one of the best, don't forget to eat in LA playa supermarket chicken and rice for 4 bucks.

I like the stay at the hostel, and I would recommend it (not for everyone, tough) . I think the value for money, most staff and facility on the reception were great. What I least liked was the bedroom. I found it too small (small spacing between beds), which make it hard when every body is in the bedroom, and give limited room for managing personal stuffs. The storage below the bed was not practical, and a little annoying. A place to momentarily keep clothes/stuffs in the bath would be nice.

I booked this hostel last minute, didn't do to much investigation as it had a 82% positive which is usually pretty good for hostelworld. No parking, which usually isn't a problem for most, but it is 25$ for 24 hour parking. The bunk beds were pretty awful even by hostel standards. It was just a ratty party hostel, so the best things about this place is the bar in the lobby. The dinner consisted of yellow rice with chicken chunks, no vege option not even a tortilla. A lot better options out there

Great place to stay close to all of South Beach´s attractions. Breakfast and even dinner are included and they take travelers out to bars and nightclubs with drink specials every night. Clean and friendly place for those traveling on a budget. I would stay here again.

Great hostel! It is perfect to meeting new people and partying. There is always someone who hangs around and wants to talk or just to share a beer. Not perfect for people who want very quite vacations.

Great party hostel, Great location. BUT, not for anyone who wants to relax. Great drink prices at the bar and good free dinners! Beds are very average. VERY GOOD VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY. I would definitely stay here again!

It's not as new and clean as they show in the pictures. The bathrooms get really dirty during the day and they only clean it in the morning.

Nice front desk people. Great little extras, like free drink, free dinner and breakfast included. The showers have undergone a renovation since the last time I was here -- very good! Excellent security.

Excellent place to stay in Miami beach, no matter if you like to party or just chill, you'll feel at home there. The lounge and the bar are very good places to make friends. Staffs are gentle and very helpful in providing info about malls, parties, places to visit and other things you may need. The hostel pretty close to the beach, less than 5 minutes walking. The only negative point is the weak wifi that doesn't work outside the lounge.

They try to optimise the number of beds per room, which leads to a very very tiny place for u and ur bag ( u nose is at ur neighbours feet, ur bags are next to he litter bin, u cannot move properly, u sleep so not comfortable ...). For safety, the lockers in the room are a joke. And be careful, don't leave ur stuff at the reception , anybody can go in there, grab ur valuables and leave. The security is ridiculous. The breakfast is awful. They offer dinner, that's cool though.

Cons - The kitchen is tiny and is not equipped with a cooker. There are no plates or cups. It's practically useless. The dorm I stayed in was very small and the matress was only 2'6" wide. The standard for a single bed is 3 feet. There is no space outside to chill out unless you hang out on the street at the front. Pros - the staff are generally pretty helpful and friendly. If you like organised parties this is the place to go. They have them every night.
