I reported that the showers did not have hot water the 4 days I was there, I was always told it would be looked at, but the hot water never worked. Other than that, it was pretty good. I still prefer Jazz on the Beach Hostel, one block away.

There was no hot water during some days and apparently it happens very often. Some staff appears really impatient everytime I complaint about the water. Im my first day at the hostel I asked about a tour for Orlando and I'm still waiting for the answer... My key card never worked, I asked to change it something about 6 times in less than 1 week. In the end, my watch was stolen, I know it inst the hostel responsability, but Im used to stay at hostels and it was the first time it happened with me.

Your room is cleaned every morning. Beds are pretty comfortable. I would have brought my own pillow. But overall cool atmosphere, nice staff and all you need for $25 a night! Walking distance to beach and downtown. I'd definitely stay again.

I didn't expect such a good treatment from the personnel. I didn't experience any problems during stay at hostel.

Stairs to upper bed is not easy to climb. There is not charging slot for the upper row beds.

Location and staff were good, however the facilities are pretty ordinary. Do not go off the photos, dorms are tiny, smallest 8 bed we've seen in a year of travel, bout 3x4m being generous with no ventilation, hate to be there in summer. Didn't have a warm shower once our entire stay. Our biggest issue was the FALSELY ADVERTISED picture of the stovetop. The "kitchen" only has a fridge, a pie warmer and a microwave, pretty hard to save money when u have to eat out as backpackers. Do not recommend!

Despite not allowed, when i told reception someone was smoking in my dorm, they didnt change me to another room or did much. Even rachel checked it and did agree with the smoking smell. Kitchen has no stoves, so forget about saving money at cooking. Jerremiah could defo uso some customer service training. Cleaning girls were great and location fantastic. They have a bar but it was never really on, so for a solo traveller was tough to meet ppl. I wouldnt stay or recommend this place

Excellent hostel for young people who just want to have a good time without spending a fortune. The beach is close, there is always party at night and you can meet nice people from all over the world! The staff is very friendly and always willing to help with any question or problem you have. The dorms are quite small and the beds are very squeaky but I guess that's what you get at that price range. The bathrooms are ok. However, definitely a hostel I would recommend for young people!

The staff were awesome, they helped me find every thing I needed. Especially Anna she rocked. The people staying at the Hostal were really nice and it was easy to make friends, I plan to come back because of the staff and location. Cheers. Mike Guatemala/Boston

South Beach Hostel was an AMAZING. I needed a place where i could do my own thing and at the same time be surrounded by a good vibe and friendly people, that was SOBE Hostel. The highlight was definitely the staff, THE MOST HELPFUL STAFF i've seen in a hostel in all my years of traveling. Especially Mariano, the guy that works mornings. He was an absolute delight. He helped me with directions, suggestions and issues i had, he was more than staff, he was a FRIEND. Thank you again!! Almery :D

I ve seen better hostel for cheaper in more expansive cities.... The AC wasn't working well... We had no Air in our private room. It stank after the firt night. Otherwise it wasn' t too bad.

breakfast was not very good, one of the toilet in the second floor was out of order for the whole stay. They did not specify at check in which bed we could use and it was so confusing that we ended it up using soemone else's bed. All in all we have a good stay with no major issues

The rooms are really small and with 8 people with luggage you can't move anymore. Breakfast with bagel, bananas and oranges, coffee is okay..

For a hostel this one was ok. The beds were comfy. Breakfast included is a perk and the kitchen is nice. What really got me was the lockers they had in the rooms. Even with locks on the lockers you could open the doors on them. I did not find this out till my third day there. I had put a $1400 camera in them thinking they were safe when i went for a swim at the beach. It was not till after I discovered that even with my lock on there I could open it right up. This make me really angry.
