South Beach Hostel Reviews

Staff were rude and lacked basic manners. Also, extremely unhelpful. Common courtesy suggests customers are greeted with a smile, not the case at South Beach.

We had bed bugs. Breakfast was great. Wifi connection was very frustrating at times.

the front desk isn't helpful and even mean sometimes. the wifi doesn't work, and they refused to help out. loud talking in the dorm area very late night

Staff is pretty unfriendly despite 1 i never learned the name of and not very helpful and like never smiling, lockers in the room are way too small as the room itself (6-bed mixed dorm) . they didn't clean our room (not even brush through it) for whatever reason, the rules say don't disturb other customers and no loud music, but none of the staff cares, always pretty loud music, shouting through the floor, people running etc etc. despite 2 showers the other 3 were like just dripping water

Very noisy! Screams in the hallways all night long, along with bangs on doors for almost an hour from drunk people who lost their pass to get in their room, and the staff didn't do anything to stop that. And that goes for the week we stayed there. It's difficult to enjoy the city without any sleep... The hostel is good for hard party type of tourist, not for those who want to enjoy Miami in daylight. That's unfortunate.

It is a hostel for party people. If you want to relax you should look for something else. It can be tough to sleep in the night since there is party in the bar all night.

Small kitchen, incredibly noisy and the staff does nothing about it. They need to have more organized outings to night clubs.

1. There is a terrible smell in the Kitchen and the rooms. I really could not pass by the kitchen. 2. They are not organized, changed my room twice. And somebody removed my stuff. Staff never apologized for it. 3. The staff are grouchy and super slow all the time. I got yelled at for grabbing my own bagel one day, and for not grabbing it myself another day.

the air coditioner was too loud in the room 201 that I had to wake up and then turn it off every night except for that It was pretty good!

I stayed this hostel alone, but i could make new friends. It were awesome days in Miami. Thank you!

lounge is too loud, even though it is deep night, the music in lounge is too loud. Kitchen is too small, some guys and girls had druken there, so I didn't have any seat. A girl and guy was kissing deeply in the hallway. Very small room. Air conditioner in a room was too noisy. Good things: location, breakfast. that's all.

The cleanliness of this facility is a huge plus. It seemed like the staff were cleaning 24/7. They were certainly hardworking and you could see the results plainly. The staff in general were friendly and kind, and a big plus in their own right. One complaint: The bed linen was never quite right. The lower sheet, the one with the elastic, never quite fit the mattress. This made sleeping a bit tricky. I don't know if this was my personal problem or a system-wide issue. A great place!

Wifi is very inconsistent and frustrating.Kitchen didn't have cups, mugs or silver ware.The staff didn't enforce the rules posted (be quiet in the halls, no music, yelling etc.).People ate or threw out the food I marked as my own so I had to keep only non-perishable things in my room.Many homeless or vagabonds coming through trying to manipulate people into buying them nights so I didn't feel secure.Need ladders for the bunks. Bathrooms can be gross, shower water: ice cold or scalding hot.

The internet was down for 4 days and no information given as to when it would be fixed. Still not working when we left, so problems caused with checking in for our flights.The guy on reception was rude and unhelpful, he didnt even speak, just pushed things towards you. Many guests commented on this. The cleaning staff and bar staff were excellent and friendly. I was surprised I was refused use of the shower in the afternoon after checkout before my flight, after staying 5 nights.

Nice bar and lounge and easy to meet other travelers. Location was great as it's within the Art Deco District. Air-conditioner in the 4-persons mixed dorm was loud and too cold. It's also small since it's 4 persons and we hardly had space for luggage. Showers were too few vs number of guests. It was noisy as our dorm was directly above the bar. Staff wasn't too proactive; they didn't even ask why we cancelled the remaining 3-night stay.

Could have better drinks offers. But the ones they serve are good and strong.
