South Gate Guesthouse Reviews

This place is very close to the bus station in Hengchun as well as to convenience stores and restaurants. I had difficulties booking a bed in Hengchun/Kenting on short notice but fortunately was able to stay at this place. Gwen, the manager, was sweet and picked me up from where I called her for directions. The guesthouse is situated in a building with quite unusual anatomy and is very clean. The staff: very pleasent and I could see their effort in trying to help me. I see the place is newly open so, along the way they will improve more and more. My single room was spacious and I enjoyed having a cozy living area right outside my door. For updates I would say, maybe carpetting rooms to make it feel more "hotel like", adding a mirror to the upstairs bathroom, and investing in a keypad/some type of lock system for the main entrances to feel more secure, and incld. light breakfest? : )

My time spent at South Gate will forever remain a part of me. Originally booked for two nights, I soon chose to stay for an additional four. The quiet atmosphere and warm staff allowed for much to time rest and reflect. South Gate is a perfect place for one with the desire to recharge their batteries and reconnect to their higher self. I am so very thankful for having been guided towards this place.
