Our stay was excellent at Southern Cross Hostel we got a separate apartment for my family which was abit further away from the hostel. The place was safe and secure for us and the kids. The owner Hakin and Abdul Rehman are excellent people and did really look after us, they really did cater for all our needs. So a big thank you to both of you from our family. We met some really nice people at the hostel which was a bonus. when we came at the hostel we had to go up 3 floors to go to the check in. Then we were guided to a back alley and in some shabby building we walked upstairs for 3 floors again before we saw the room. The room was fairly clean with a nice view but it smelled like the toilet itself and we didnt feel like staying in a room with hands before our noses. Not helpful, unfriendly and not caring people. Hostels enough at sultanahmet and my experience is all of them are satisfying. Just take an other onewhen we came at the hostel we had to go up 3 floors to go to the check in. First night, unexpected change on the arrival to a room far from what we\'d expected; rest of the week much better in another room, except one morning with no hot water;if you want quietness, stay away from rooms in the the main building, since you\'ll have a bar on the terrace directly above the room.People are friendly enough, breakfast good but limited. Terrace nice but poor view. Cleanliness dubious. Came back to the southern cross durıng my second tıme ın İstanbul, felt lıke comıng home.. People are so frıendly and helpful and the prıces are good compared to a lot of hostels I have stayed ın.. The atmosphere ıs so relaxed here that you never want to leave, the roof terrace ıs a great place to meet new people.. And one ekstra plus, they have the best pıllows ın Tyrkıye...
