Southern Fried Rice is an excellent place to stay : it is very well located (beach, restaurants, bars), but quiet. The rooms are big and neat, with everything that you need (water, wi-fi, aircon, breakfast). In any event, the manager, Terje, has been very helpful and friendly, and told us a lot about Thai culture. Southern Fried Rice is also a restaurant with a wonderful cooker. I would recommend it without any hesitation !

My stay in Southern Fried Rice was very enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and extremly helpful especially when we had trouble with a tour we booked and the company didn't pick us up like they said they would and the owner sorted it out with them at 8 in the morning. Very clean rooms and approximity to Kata Beach.

Tierje (Terry) the Norwegian owner very kindly arranged my free pick-up from the airport as I stayed at Southern Fried Rice for a minimum of 5 nights. Sunny and Oom(?) were always helpful and so friendly. The Food also was a high standard and the menu very comprehensive and economical. I found the location very convenient with only a few minutes walk to stunning Kata Beach. Saturday market was very close by. If you stay in Phuket, hire a motor scooter to see the island. Terry hires them too
