Average hostel, not amazingly clean or well equipped but enough for a place to sleep at night.

Nice hostel, good location up the hill from town with nice view over the lake. About 10 minute walk from the Intercity bus stop, just doable with the rucksacks! Nice rooms but it did have a glass panel in the door so people can see in - there is a curtain though! Didn't avail of the bonus things such as the spa pool which was full the evening we got there, and I think the soup is available in one of the kitchens but not in the block we were in. Other than that all good!

We stayed in a double private room w shared kitchen and bathroom facilities with a 4 bed dorm. The room was secure and quite OK for a hostel. The shared facilities felt a bit unclean and we found it a bit difficult to use them because the 4 bed dorm people took over a bit (2 different groups during our 3 night stay there). It would have been good to keep the dorms and the private rooms separate. Overall, the hostel is old and run-down but the staff are friendly and helpful. Great location.

No lockers, toilets are dirty, didn't like it that much.

The hostel really felt like home....I continued to extend my stay there because I loved and staff were amazing...I had a death in the family and they were so kind to let me have the dorm room to myself for privacy. They went above and beyond my expectations...

Staff were boozing into the night and making a huge racket.... not very professional.... Otherwise hostel was ok

The Southern Laughter was AWESOME! I would stay there again in an instant. The staff was really helpful scheduling our adventures and it was rad being able to borrow the frisbee golf discs! Loved it and the Far Side cartoons!

Enjoyable hostel right at the top of the city. Nice to have a toilet and kitchen in our room.

nice location,good free vegetable soup, $10 wireless internet a day.. suiteble young backpackers.. Magnificent landscape Queenstown.. Beautiful town!! Milford sound was absolutely amazing,fantastic.. I wanna visit there again!!

Rooms are small and close to each other, so if you happen to live next to some crazy young guys (as I did), then don't think about falling to sleep before dawn. But in the good days most guests are well behaved.

Luv the free soup given in the evening.. However was dissapointed as 1 night unable to get it as they had run out of stock.. Heard fm other traveller Nomad given them free b/fast & dinner every night which only a few dollars different.. Shld try to consider to give more for less...

The rooms were regularly cleaned, the staff provided excellent customer service, and staff were always willing to help and provide advice on a range of tourism related questions. Definitely the place to be in Queenstown! The only drawback was that the internet was not free.

Really helpful and nice staff. Hostel located 2 min walk from the center of town, 7 min from cheap,big supermarket, 1 min from ski bus. Rooms and bathrooms (with hot water 24/7) are clean and nice. Kitchen really clean with all the things you need to cook. In my opinion- best place to stay when you are in Queenstown.

amazing place

This was by far the best hostel I have stayed in yet. The accommodations were not only cozy and welcoming, but also comfortable and private. The staff was wonderful and very helpful with bookings and information on things to do in town. I felt truly welcomed.
