The only good thing about this place is its closeness to creekside gondola and access to Whistler. The staff are rude, the place is a dive. The diner down stairs plays music all hours of the night and turn it up when it shuts at 10pm until they have finished cleaning (sometimes 1am). There are rules of noise for the occupants of the hostel yet the diner does not abide by these as they are owned by a separate person. Management have been trying for 2 years to keep it down after 10pm with nosuc

Great setting, would definitely recommend it, the only negative is their policy not to refund any payments if you decide to check out early - even if they fill your bed! It should be one day's cancellation but any days after that are refunded.

i had a lot of fun at the south side lodge. location is great, 2min walk from the gondola, and Eva, the lady that runs the place is very fun and nice. they helped me a lot with ski passes and transportation. the kitchen is well accesorised and the vibe is good. ill definitly recommened this hostel to anyone.
