One of the best hostels that I have ever stayed at!

The facilities at Space were amazing - definitely more of a hotel than a hostel. Shelfs, reading lights and plug points beside the beds and the lockers are the best I've seen. The only minor complaint I could make about the room itself is that one bed is right beside the AC vent and I woke up with a headache from it. Found Space very unfriendly though - people seemed very unsociable and there were a lot of families. Would not recommend for those travelling alone, but groups will be pleased.

Run much like a hotel rather than hostel. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, good security showers are clean and hot, good location and the faciltes are modern. Only two bad points, no free wifi, and it's not really a party hostel which depending what you want may not be such a bad thing. Over all I would probably go back again.

It was a nice stay in the Space Hostel. The room was clean; the staffs were kind and helpful; the security was good.

Good location, walking distance from city centre. Well equipped self-cook kitchen. Room furnishing was poor with limited closet space, no coat rack and no bed lamps ( we stayed in a twin room with shared bathroom/shower).

The staff and people I met there were friendly. The place was pretty clean. I've been in two different rooms. The first one was really clean and the second one was filled with garbage on the floor. In one particular bathroom, there was no hot water. Other people I talked to found the same problem with that one bathroom. I found no problem with the other bathrooms. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. One downside to the hostel is that you have to pay for internet at $3/hour or $10/day.

Set up was great, loved the powerpoints in and outside of the lockers, the reading light, and the little self next to the bed. Internet was way to expensive, and the computer/program was slow and un-responsive.

Good things: The bunks top and bottom have a little shelf very useful, and gradual reading lighting. The mattress is comfortable. Very good lockers. The cinema ++. Bad: the worse is the air, was a strange smell so I opened the air-con and the filter was black, full of dirty, so this is what you will be breathing! you could pass your finger and finish with it full of black dust. Also the atmosphere of the place is cold.

i had a 5 bed dorm originally but when i walked in there it was packed with bags etc on the floor and you couldnt move. the place was a mess and it the smell of the room wasnt very. they had lockers in the room to your bags but people just used the floor to leave their stuff everywhere. i then upgraded to a double room all to myself which was great, clean tidy and had all the mod cons you would need. i dont think im cut out for dorm rooms anymore.

The staff weren't super helpful and the doors in the hallway were the loudest I've ever heard. People kept going up and down the halls and because of the loud doors, I couldn't sleep. Super slow elevators. Great lockers.

This was quite a plush hostel in comparison to some I'd stayed in around Australia. Good facilities and only a 15 minute walk from the centre. It was a bit noisy at times but that's what ear plugs are for!

The only thing to complain is that they charge for wifi internet, but....every hostel in Australia does that any way. Will definitely stay here next time.

It\'s a decent hostel with private shower rooms. The staff kept the rooms and showers relatively clean. It\'s easy to forgot stuff in the showers though (lost two bottles of shampoo). All varieties of guests, old and young, but it kinda had an overall douchy feel. The space concept seemed very contrived and forced. No real social stuff. It\'s a pretty decent place, and the pizzas in the bar downstairs are excellent.

Overall it's a good place to live The two things I was disappointed is the fan noise during nights, which made us awake many times. And there are no windows in our room so that we can't breath fresh air.

These we possibly the best lockers I have ever seen, complete with electrical outlets inside so one could charge everything without worry. The staff here were really nice and I was pretty impressed with the facilities. Overall a very nice hostel. The location was also pretty good, several blocks from Federation Square but directly down the street so navigation was really easy. I would stay there again.

It was like staying in a hotel! Totally awesome Aircon got a bit cold so extra blankets would be nice.

Bit noisy in the morning as the cleaners started around 7.30am. Relaxation areas including roof top are excellent. Bar attached serving cheap meals and happy hour drinks.
