If you go to Pai, you have to go to Spicy Pai. It is an amazing hostel with a great atmosphere. The staff is really friendly and speaks a good english.

Probably the best hostel experience I've ever had. Booked 2 nights, ended up staying for 5. Spicy is amazing, and Pai is the capital of relaxation. Jungle style dorms and showers. Everyone hangs out in the large common space, and goes out at night together. Will never forget my time there. If you are in Thailand, you must go to Pai, and you must stay at Spicy.

It was a really sociable place because all beds were in the same room and I made some good friends there. The owner took us out the first night for dinner and a cabaret show which was a good way to get to know people. He booked things for us, but did charge 100 baht extra for a bus trip to Pai. It's a place you should stay if you'd like to meet people. It is quite small - only about ten beds, but the room itself is very spacious.

Best hostel ever!!! In the best place in Thailand!!! Had an amazing time, would have stayed much longer if I had gone at a different point in my trip. Such a great chilled out place to spend time, everyone hangs out together day and night. Pai is awesome by day and night, loved waking up there brushing my teeth in the open air and then chilling on the hammock before going to see some waterfalls! Everyone gets drunk at night and heads into town together, made great friends there. Love Pai & Spicys

Cool place every is laid back, always partying. A little farther outside of town than some others, so you may want a scooter if you're staying for a a while. But def a chill vibe out their among the rice patties.

Wonderful, super-social hostel. Amazing staff, fantastic atmosphere. Don't stay here if you want quiet time and personal space. If you want to make friends and have fun, it's perfect. Easy 10-minute walk from town. Lockers available, BYO padlock. Comfy beds with individual mosquito nets. Only problem is that it's VERY cold at night so bring long sleeves and socks to wear in bed! A unique hostelling experience and a great way to see Pai.

SpicyPai is possibly the nicest hostel we have been to, the staff are soo friendly and will try to help where ever they can. The dorms are fully equipped with all the basic needs. The vibe around the campfire is unreal and the sunset view is out of this world. We booked for two nights and ended up staying for 7. The only bad thing about this place is that it is really hard to leave, because you create a little family with your fellow travellers and the hostel staff. I am definitely going back!

Really friendly staff in a beautiful location. The buildings are fantastic and everyone seems the right level of laid back. Really easy to meet other travelers. I would recommend getting a mo-ped though as its about a 10 minute walk from town, and also most of the attractions are way too far to walk. Had a fantastic stay. Jaz

I've been travelling for 2,5 months now and this is def. the best place i've stayed in! Pai is wonderful and this hostel is settled at a wonderful place with view over the ricefields There are hammocks, There is chilled out music and best of all: great people. It's a really good place to meet people and hang around Pai! Spicy Pai also organizes stuff as barbecues or trips to the caves or waterfalls. And during the night the party is getting started... Sometimes with campfire, magic feeling :).

This place is amazing!!! It is so nice that it makes you want to stay forever. Spicy has great views of the mountains and the rice paddies from the hammocks in the common bungalow which is a great place to just relax. Its also a great place to meet people and enjoy being in Pai. The staff is wonderful and the location is perfect because there are fantastic views but its not too far from town to walk or bike. The dorms are great but it does get pretty cold at night so bring some layers.
