Location was decent, but the facilities were lacking. Our room had a huge green exit sign in it that stayed illuminated all night long, leaving the room very bright all night while we were trying to sleep. Also, the comforter was covered in black hairs.

I found the hostel very clean, the showers were spotless, that I really appreciate. Also, the room was very clean. The kitchen is new and has everything you need. there was a very nice area outside with tables that you can use to eat or drink outdoors. Staff was very friendly and always willing to help, lots of young people around. I really recommend this hostel

Fairly cheap for Dublin and very close to the centre, it had a nice common room, and the 8 bed female dorm was quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. However it's a little bit 'you get what you pay for' in the sense that it's not too clean, they charge you if you want a locker, there's no common computer (there is free Wifi). Staff was fairly friendly and polite, it did the job for me for a couple of nights.

I spent three nice nights in this hostel, the staff was very friendly and professional, the room and the restroom clean, only the breakfast was under my expectations. But definitely I recommend this place.

Good hostel except that it was Saint patrick week end and we paid 300 euros for one night in a double room without bathroom ... very expensive ...

Stayed here for two nights for St. Patrick's weekend. Was pretty expensive for that weekend, but we definitely enjoyed our stay. Very clean, not overly noisy (even on St. Patty's weekend). The location is great, far enough from Temple Bar to not have as much noise and close enough to walk to, even in poor weather. Definitely recommend.

The rooms are not sound proof, can hear everything in the streets including the floor above. At 4am, was woken up by the loud noises of what sounded like a basketball game happening right over my head. The bathroom facilities are not that clean, the sink taps splashes all over the place and on you. Also the rooms had no temperature control that if you are in the top bunk, you roast all throuigh out the night. There are no lockers in the rooms, you have to pay per day for the locker, towel facili

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful (at all hours!) and the hostel location was very central to everything, easy to find and good for public transport. Breakfast was basic, but plentiful, and everything was clean, bedding was warm (needed on a cold March weekend!).

Thanks for your comment, we appreciate all guests reviews!! In fact you have booked in a 20 beds dorm that is very spacious with also shower and toilets facilities inside the room and we are very sorry if you didn't feel comfortable there. However we expect guests come to the reception to let us know for anything is not right or any issue that happened!! We could upgrade your stay in a smaller room!! Thanks a lot for your review, it helps us to make a better service for our guests!!

Having worked in and stayed at many hostels throughout Europe and the U.S.A. - I found the Spire to be one of the friendliest, cleanest, most well-staffed hostels ever. It is a great value for the money and the location is perfect for people new to Dublin. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and easy-going. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone.

This was my first experience staying in a hostel, and I didn't know what to expect. The Spire Hostel was the absolute best choice that I could have made! The staff was the best part of the experience: everyone was super friendly and very knowledgeable and accommodating. The rooms were cleaned daily and the bathrooms always smelled fresh! The beds were very comfortable and I felt that my belongings were secure. Perfect location and perfect environment for the price you are paying!

It was very loud in the hostel so it was really difficult to sleep. There is so little to muffle the sound, you can hear everything through the doors and the walls, even if people are trying to be quiet. We could even hear someone's mobile phone on vibrate through 2 doors. Sometimes a door shutting in another room seemed so loud we thought that someone had come into our room. There were no pillowcases.

We apologize for the inconvenience you encountered during your stay. As you are the first guest to note such a very high noise level, it will be something our team will look into. Each guest is given a freshly laundered set of linens at check in; bed sheet, duvet cover & pillowcase. If by fault your pillowcases were not included, this should have brought to the attention of the receptionist, who would have been more than happy to immediately supply fresh pillowcases.
