Great tours organised here, friendly staff and great location in old quarter. I couldn't fault this hotel. The room is really nice and very clean. Safe in the room , your own computer and flat screen t.v. Good location near the cathedral. A bit of a mixed experience at this place. They are quite friendly etc, but underneath the smiles of 'the boys' as you'll get to know them, they are not that helpful. We had some train tickets delivered and they assured us they had not received them, even when we showed them a message from the delivery firm showing they'd been received by the hotel it still took much pursuading and searching to find. They also tried to overcharge us on leaving until we told them about the 10% deposit.A bit of a mixed experience at this place. Excellent staff who are very helpful- although after a long flight and arriving at 10pm I didnt really want to discuss and books tour but they were not too pushy about it. Rooms were very clean and location is great. We stayed many places on our two week Asian vacation and Splendid Star Hotel was by far the best. It really felt like home when we returned from a day of sight-seeing and walking around Hanoi. I only wish we had more time to explore the lovely neighborhood around us. Rose was so helpful , especially when I accidentally left our bag in taxi and she made many phone call to help us retrieve them back. Perfect for a family ! Thank you so much .We stayed many places on our two week Asian vacation and Splendid Star Hotel was by far the best.
