Really great hostel with a friendly staff! I would definitely come back at this hostel (this time during summer !) The only negative point: no cooking facilities except a microwave =\
The location and price are good, but sadly the hostel has no atmosphere, and sometimes i wanted to ask something to the staff but they weren't in the building from kinda early..
The staff were super helpful and laid back, and had great knowledge/advice of what to do in Split and on the surrounding islands. We had a great time!
Solid Hostel. If you are staying here and are arriving to the central bus station you are in luck as there is a sign with directions, and it is only five minutes away. You will need to look closely as it's on the street and blends in with the other properties. Anyway, this is a hostel that offers consistent excellence and confortability at a great price. Wether you are staying for one night or ten, the hostel caters for all types of traveller and offers everything you need from a backpackers.
It's a great place very centrally located in the middle of everything you need during your stay in Split. Friendly and helpful staff will share some great insight and recommend cool places to go. Very clean and well-maintained place. Most of your needs are walking distance - the harbour ports, transportation, groceries, beaches and the exploring the old city. I'm coming again, not just next year - but maybe back in two days!!
Great hostel. The staff here are awesome, they are really friendly and have great recommendations for what to do in Split. This was my second stay here and if I am ever back in Split I'll be staying here again.
A nice, clean hostel (one of the cleanest I've stayed at!), the staff were helpful and went through the city on a map when you arrived. Felt very secure there as you needed two keys to get in and also had big lockers to put your stuff in. It was really close to the old town and to the ferries and buses and lots of food/supermarket places. Only downsides were the hostel was a bit quiet so didn't have the best atmosphere and there was only two bathrooms and two showers for the whole hostel
The staff were very good at helping find transport connections from Split to the islands and airport. The hostel itself is very well located and a nice environment to be in. It was a bit hot in the evenings but there is air con which soon sorts this. The kitchen facilities were nice to have, could maybe do with being a bit more well equipped though. Overall a great hostel for solo travellers or small groups wanting to explore Split or the surrounding coast.
Hostel Split Backpackers is the best Hostel! Free WiFi, lockers, free coffee:-) So easy to find from main bus station, just 5 minutes walk, everything you need is just next to hostel, old town, bars, shops and beaches.. And the best of all, staff is amazing, they will organize you everything you wish. See you again.-)

Amazing small hostel, rooms were very clean and common areas were always being constantly cleaned by all the staff. Staff were really friendly and were able to offer advice when we needed it. Not much in the way of atmosphere because of the small size of the hostel but if you make friends plenty of things to do in Split at night. The male staff person at night was hilarious and great, thanks man! Thanks for an amazing stay!
Staff really friendly. location is good and only a short walk from everything you need. Our room was quite warm on most evenings and found it difficult to sleep as a result. would of liked the air con to be used more. apart from that it's a pleasant hostel.
Really nice guy checked me in at 11pm no problems. Met a nice girl right away and made plans for the next day as we were both by ourselves. Super close to the main bus station. Comfy beds!

Good location but feel it is best for short trips. Didn't like the feel of it and it seemed a bit dirty.
They said they had system problems and over booked the hostel. Since we were only staying one night they asked if we could stay at alternative accommodation. It was just a room in a woman's apartment and we were rammed in with two other girls in a tiny room and later another joined by another with a mattress on the floor. We had none of the facilities you would enjoy in a hostel such as a secure place to lock your belongings. We payed the same price for worse and seems like a scam for their mate
The hostel was clean, quiet and well air conditioned. Close to the port and a very short walk into the old town. Was the perfect place to stay after a week on a yacht! Staff were great also. No negatives to report.
Fantastic location, extremely clean, friendly staff. Big lockers with locks provided. Not much atmosphere in hostel but barely spend time there as always out in split
