I had the absolute best time here - Joško is the best host, really know how to treat his guest well and has the best tips for restaurants (FIFE!!!!), day trips and pretty much anything else you could need. It really felt like I was going home at the end of the day, and the other guests felt exactly the same way. Everything was clean, beds were comfy, no issues with hot/cold water, blablabla :) Thanks for the awesome time, Joško, I'll be back next year w/ more mac and cheese! - "Captain America"

This has hands down been the best hostel I've ever stayed at. It is owned by a man named Joško who is both friendly and funny. He went out of his way to accommodate us during our short visit. I even left my camera there and he was nice enough to mail it back to me. Best decision choosing this hostel as a place to call HOME if ever in Split again will definitely stay here. If you plan to visit the Plitvice Lakes National Park ask Joško about a tour and I am sure he will not disappoint.

Awesome guesthouse, loved staying here and would have loved to stay for longer. Thanks a lot to Josko who made my stay very enjoyable and comfortable :)

Split Guesthouse&Hostel was one of the best hostel during our Balkan roadtrip. We really felt us like at home. Houselord was friendly, kind and polite. All the atmosphere was really positive and friendly. Unfortunately we spent there only one night but I really would like to visit Split again and next time I will definately choose the same hostel :) I recommend this hostel to everybody who is planning to visit Split.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Split Guesthouse. We only stayed for a night but we still felt very much at home. Josko is an amazing host and he gives you great advice about the city. Definitely worth staying!

I was only for one night but I think that the hostel was great! Joško was very friendly and helpful as he tells you everything you need to know about the city. In addition, as soon as we arrived there, he offered us something to drink. The hostel has full of facilities such as a great kitchen, internet connection, TV and so on so you really feel like in your own house. The location is also great as it is near everything.

The place is really worth of money. The owner is just amazing helpfull. He took four of us to the tour for Plitvice lakes and Fortress of Knin. He spent 13 hours on a roud trip with us. I really recommend this hostel for everyone and especially the tour !

Well, my friend recommended this place as she was here last year and was very satisfied. She was right, this place has everything you need, nice clean bathrooms,spacious rooms with aircon, common room with tv and computer,wi/fi and a big kitchen which was a great plus... It is close to every major point,but the city is small as well. Thank you Josko for making my stay so nice. I will come back

Particularly nice hostel which I wouldn't even dare to call a hostel only because it's a nice corner for people who want to feel comfortable in such a clean, cozy and funny apartment, passing Split! I will remember that place for ever, its inhabitants (there are a turtle and a fish), guests from all over the world, where each of them made a contribution to the creation of Split Guesthouse & Hostel's atmosphere! And Josko, the owner, deserves special mention - always in touch and ready to help

Excellent place to stay and meet people! 5 minutes away by foot from Old Town, near bakery, market etc. Josko, the owner, definetely strives to make the best of your stay, recommending the best places to go and being always available to help with any problem you might have!

This hostel is great because of it's owner, he helps you with everything. It's small and has all the necessities ie: a computer (which means free internet!), warm shower, kitchen, nice sheets. The only negative thing I would say about the hostel is that at the time we were there it wasn't very clean. The kitchen was covered in dirty dishes and there were lots of empty shampoo and soap bottles all over the shower room (btw there are 2 showers, one for girls and one for boys which is nice).

josko is definitely one of the most caring hostel owners, we received a very warm welcome and good recommendations, and he kept an eye on our car when we were way for a few days. it's a good stop to start explore this city, thanks!

Good time! Common area could be a bit small with a full house though. Kitchen is good and the place is near everything. Comfy beds and awesome city! Owner was very anxious to help out and make sure you had a good time!

This was the perfect place to stay - great location, awesome staff, and comfortable place! The owner, Josko, had great recommendations about where to visit in the town and cool places to hang out at night. Definitely will be coming back here!

Lovely hostel. The owner is very welcoming and helpful with his recommendations of where to go in Split. The atmosphere of the hostel makes you feel very at home and safe. You don't feel like a customer, you feel more like a friend. And it's definitely obvious how much the hostel is liked because you're surrounded by pictures of previous guests thanking the hostel. Great location - not too far away from the centre and felt very safe at night. Would recommend to anyone staying in Split!

This hostel is awesome. The owner Josko is the nicest guy ever, you never want to leave! The rooms are comfy, showers warm, the kitchen fantastic... he even has a turtle and a fish! This place feels less like a hostel and more like just hanging out in a buddies apartment. We will definitely be back.

This is how all the hostels should be like! Full of friendly, warm, atmosphere and you simply cannot help feeling like home. Location is perfect, facilities are clean and the place is like made for meeting new people. Above all, the owner is super cool and he does everything to make people enjoy their stay!!

When I came in the first day I immediately felt this uncontrollable feeling of being home. The legendary owner Josko is the one about whom is the saying below. You name he has it. This hostel is the one which I will never forget, because it gave me so much emotions, thoughts and amazing moments. There is this beautiful phrase on of the walls of Josko's glory - Life as it should be
