I had a great time here - Josko is a most friendly and accommodating host who genuinely strives (and succeeds) in making the guesthouse a home away from home.

I did an internship in Split for 6 weeks, and during this period I stayed in this fantastic hostel. I've been in a lot of hostels in Europe and I can't think of another hostel where I could have such a wonderful time. The owner takes really good care for his guests, and knows all the right places in the city and on the islands. The hostel is very clean and offers the facilities to have great parties, but also to have a relax time and just watch movies. I really recommend this hostel and Split.

Fantastic hostel very close to the center (about a 2 minute walk). The hostel was spotless, very big rooms with own computer/television and kitchen. Staff were great, helpful, and it was great value for money. Would definitely recommend!

Josko, the owner, is just an amazingly friendly guy. He picked us up, dropped us off at the busstation, got us breakfast, showed us around, it was like the soda commercial: "life as it should be".. The hostel itself is in a quiet neighbourhood but still easily within walking distance of the center, with clean rooms, a well equipped kitchen (4 stoves and an oven) and enough multimedia to keep you inside forever. Thanks for a great stay, we'll be definitely coming back!

Stayed for 4 nights (2 of us) during our travels around Croatia. Josko, the hostel owner, is lovely, friendly & helpful! Gave us lots of advice on things to do & see in Split & marked them all on a map for us & gave us a lift to bus station when we left. The hostel was clean, tidy, with well-equipped kitchen, tea, coffee & towels. Brilliant value for money & excellent place to stay if you're looking for somewhere comfortable & close to town.

Really enjoyed my stay at split guesthouse - hostel was comfortable, with everything we needed. Josko the host was extremely helpful and welcoming making us feel very much at home + giving lots of tips and advice about what to do in the city. I imagine the hostel would be a fun place in the summer when it is full of visitors. We were the only ones as off season meaning we had a whole apartment to ourselves- very pleasent!

We spent a wonderful time at Split Guesthouse. It's owner, Josko, was very nice and very helpful. Everything was great and the hostel was located very near from the sightseeing. The price was very reasonable and the facilities very complete. I will recommended it.

So glad I came to Split Guesthouse! Josko was an incredibly kind and helpful host. The hostel itself was clean, bright, and felt like home. I chose this hostel because I wanted to be able to cook, and the kitchen was perfect - fully equipped with pots, pans, olive oil, spices, etc. How could you come to a place like Split with wonderful daily markets and not cook? The hostel was also centrally located (15 minutes walk from buses, downtown, and beautiful parks). I would visit again!

The short review: This is where you want to stay, its excellent. Stop looking, stay here. The Longer review: Hostel is located a 10 minute walk from the waterfront with a number of places to do shopping at grab a feed around it. Fantastic location, nice and quiet at night so you can get a decent sleep (if you want to).. Clean, comfortable beds, good facilities and a good kitchen. The owner, Josko, will give you heaps of great info when you get there and happily help you with anything you need.

Josko is very funny and warm host. We just arrived in Croatia, and he made us very comfortable. Extremely resourceful, he has solution for everything. Regarding the place in itself, the location is good, and the new hostel is really clean and well-equipped! One of the best moment and deal of our Balkan tour.
