The facilities were nice, and it was a short location from Orrussey Market. The room and the bathroom were minimal, but the hot water was functional, and the bathroom was okay. The sink didn't drain immediately, but was not a problem in the long run. The beds were typical of a guest house, stiff, but large.

Our bus arrived late (passed 10PM) in Phnom Penh from Siem Reap (story here:http://www.freedomwall.net/travel/entangled-commotion-commuting-siem-reap-phnom-penh/) and I wasn't able to inform the hotel since I we had no internet connection in the bus. They did not honor our booking since we are late - that's the only reason they gave. It was late at night and we were already tired so I looked for another rooms which are few dollars higher in rate.

When we arrived, we got told hey didn't have the room we had booked and paid a deposit for, but could have an upgraded roomof we paid for it (-$1 of the price, but still $3 per night than we had booked). After agreeing we would not pay anymore than agreed in thebooking, the manager reluctantly gave us the room at original price but became defensive furging on rude. He said that we would have to change rooms in the morning, about11. Got kicked out room 2 hours after arriving by a veryrude manager

THE SECOND TIME TO STAY AT THE SPRING. FOR ME IT IS A GOOD LOCATION A LITTLE AWAY FROM THE RIVER BUT EASY TO REACH. OTHERS HAVE MADE COMMENTS ABOUT THE STAFF AND I FIND THIS IS VERY UNFAIR.IF YOU ARE FRIENDLY IT IS RETURNED IN THE KHMER WAY. IT IS A GOOD VALUE HOTEL, AND IS SAFE AND SECURE AND OFFERS LAUNDRY SERVICE , BUS BOOKINGS AND FREE COMPUTER .HANDY FOR THE CAPITOL BUS STATION ALSO. WHAT MORE COULD YOU NEED?

We had no problems in this hostel-it was clean, safe. There is also a free computer to use, which was very helpful and staff were also very nice.

At our arrival, the room and the bathroom were very dirty (dirty sheets, hairs on the ground...). The staff wasn't welcoming at all, asked us to pay $3 instead of $2 to get conditionned air in the room, because we had booked via hostelworld, and we had to prove evrytime we came who we were to get the room keys (with the receipt). This is an adress we don't recommend to anyone, it's cheap, but very poor quality, and for the same price we have found better guesthouses in Phnom Penh.
