Rooms and bathrooms were cramped, but the bar and breakfast area had a great atmosphere.

I really did not like this hostel at all. For the amount of money I was paying, I don´t believe it was worth it. The character of the place is nice and it was colorful but they just let whomever walk in and don´t check if you are a guest of the hostel. The location is very close to the Red Light District so although it´s in Montmatre, if you got lost you would be in trouble. The receptionists were generally rude and uninformative. And for cleaning from 11-4, there was still no soap and dirt

This hostel was in a really good location and was cute with a cool bar downstairs. Wifi only works in the lobby but it's not so bad since it adds more atmosphere to the hostel downstairs. Good free breakfast which is nice and clean rooms. Five minutes away walking from Sacré Coeur which was cool and metro really close. Cute cafes and restaurants around as well. Young people vibe!

this was a really good hostel. it was located in a great area (10 min walk to sacre coeur) and only two minutes from the metro station. the staff were helpful and told me places to visit. the room was good too; it was clean. although the shower wasnt awesome (low water pressure and keep going from really hot to really cold). i felt safe here and met some nice people. i will definitely stay here again when i go back to paris

This was a nice hotel although a bit on the small side. A note of caution - there's a lot of stairs here. When we arrived at the metro stop, there were 92 steps up the stairs to the entrance (we didn't realise there was a lift), before a further 15 steps or so up to the road the hotel was on. In the hotel, we were placed in a room 3 flights of stairs down. The next day the reception was kind enough to move us to a room not so far down. Our 1st room didn't have a shower door, just a curtain

Great value for money hostel. The breakfast is simple but brilliant. My only comments would be: additional power sockets in the rooms would be useful. (I was in room 16) A wifi booster to get the signal upstairs might be useful too.

Very very good except that the heat in lower floors is not so warm. However the room is a 3bed female room, and what we booked is a 6bed female room. Since the upgrade is free of charge, we just enjoy it. !! Ps. So many Japanese there!!!

we had a room on the forth floor with a breathtaking view over the city, just beautiful. But there is no elevator so walking up there multible times a day can get really tough. Nice staff. There were no real blankets and it was super cold in the room, it felt like a window was left open but they were all closed. There was a small radiator but it didn't do much. I recommend a sleeping bag. Also only 2 outlets in a 6 bed room. Nice breakfast. All in all an alright stay.

Great stay, although it's a shame the bar was so quiet. It was such an awesome space, there was just nobody in there! I was told that it was much busier in the summer which makes sense, just my timing then! Otherwise the only thing i have against the hostel was the tiny little bathroom i had in room 11, and the fact that there was no common room or general space for people to be during the day or in the afternoon at times when the bar was closed. The lobby isn't great for meeting people!

The rooms are small and the bathrooms smaller yet, the shower isn't so hot. The cleaning workers are very nice.

Much better than we had expected! The room was great, but I woke up so cold in the middle of the night! The WC down the hall from us smelled like urine. The breakfast was very nice, yummy croissants! One man working the desk was a little impolite at times and was too attached to his football game on the TV to help customers. But overall it was perfect for our stay in Paris.

I didn't have a pleasant experience at this hostel. The receptionists were rude and weren't willing to help anyone, the kitchen was bad located, and the cleanliness was really poor. I wouldn't stay there again nor suggest Square Caulaincourt to anyone.

It wasn't bad. I enjoyed my room, but would have appreciated a towel which was not left in my room.
