Very homey hostel in perfect location, complete with a great common room for meeting people and relaxing.

Had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Lockers in rooms would have made me feel better about leaving things in the hostel, as although the doors to each room are supposed to be kept locked, you have to rely on 4-6 other people to keep the door shut. There was also a lot of mould in the showers, and although I respect the policy of not laundering linens every day to reduce wastewater and costs, they definitely need to be changed more often as the bed I slept in smelled a bit before I'd even stayed in the room a full night.

An excellent hostel. A beautiful and well kept old house with good bedrooms, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Had a really good time there.

Overall a good place to sleep, with confortable beds and silent at night. It lacks storage space for the guest's belongings though, and the kitchen could be cleaner and tidier.

The administration was absolutley awesome. Mike was the icing on the amazing cake! I recomend everyone to have a try!

St Andrews Hostel was so lovely and welcoming. The staff interacted with us like they were part of the clientele. No bunks beds was another luxury! There is nowhere to lock up your belongings but the trust network seemed good enough for that to not really bother me.

The guys running the hostel, Mike, Brad and goncalo have created a great relaxed and mature environment. Keep up the great work!!!!

I carefully review negative comments before booking and was pleased to see that past issues have been well-addressed by the hostel. The facility, including beds, linen, bathrooms, common room, kitchen were very clean, with great care shown in ensuring that all bedding is completely sanitized and fresh. Mike, the manager, is absolutely diligent in overseeing this and looking after guests. Perfectly situated near main tourist sites and amenities, it's a great place, with friendly staff and guests.
