I appreciate that the facilities in a budget hotel will be basic and they were. The single room was small and cheerless and although the bed linen was lovely and clean, the duvet underneath and the pillow were pretty ropey, and the shower curtain was old and stained. The young people who run it seem to be very laid back and casual about running the hostel/hotel. It served its purpose, was cheap for Belgium, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Bruges, which is such a beautiful city.

Need to do something about the noise - the whole point of being in the hotel, not hostel, was to avoid drunken idiots waking us up at 5am, but that still happened! Push button shower was horrible, tiny, freezing, painful, with pointless toilet in the way. Good heating, beds comfy, clean, location ok.

Cycle hire brill, live music in bar great, paper thin walls and noisey at night, breakfast poor

The rooms were ok, but dirty knives for breakfast ruined the impression totally. Also easy reacheable hot water in the breakfast room for making tee would be nice.

During the night we heard some mouse or rat (I dont know exactly what it was) scratching in the wall and there was bed air all the time, because some smell was comig out off the pipes in the bathroom.
