The location is great, just a couple of blocks away from 2 tube stations. The staff was not only friendly, but very helpful too. The downside though was the size of the room. It is probably 30ft² and definitely not recommended for a romantic experience. We could barely fit in the bathroom and we had to keep pressing a button every 15s for water, which wasn't hot enough for a decent bath. Apart from that, I'd recommend St. Christopher's if you're looking for a decent place to stay.

The place was very nice and the staff was very welcoming! I didn't spend much time at the pub, so I can say it's a nice place for those who don't party all the time as well. I just thought the chill room was a bit cold and the dvd options they had there were bad. We could only watch dvds, and luckily i had my own dvds. But i guess most people don't go there to watch tv! It's a great place to crash whilst enjoying the wonder of London!

I really liked the hostel. The staff was frinendly and helpful an the people were nice. Nothing was dirty, I mean, for a Hostel. I felt safe and at home. The main problem, though, was the size of the room. It was too small for the eight people that were there and we almost couldn't be all at the same time in the room. But I would definitely return!

Superb value for money. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, pleasant shower. The bar downstairs did get a bit loud on Saturday evening, but that's to be expected and I won't hold it against them. Conveniently located near a subway station and Camden's shopping area. Friendly staff. This was my second stay and I will probably come back again.

Loved my entire stay at this hostel. Easily one of the best I've stayed in. Beers were cheap, staff were amazing, especially Thomas, the Russian or Czech guy, not sure which. Can't wait to come back and stay again. Do it, you won't be disappointed. Purple Turtle for life.

Its a Bar with a Hostel and not a Hostel with a Bar. No kitchen, the common room is so bad that its better to consider there isn't one, the showers were bad, the toilets not clean enough, the room way to hot. There is no vibe and basically, they have a hostel to keep people going to the bar.

The worst hostel I've ever stayed. The room smells bad, there's no hot water, the staff is unfriendly and can't help you with nothing. I have to agree to a review I've read here, life is too short for a hostel like this one. I definetely don't recommend it. Location is good though.

The staff at Camden were exceptional, very friendly and obliging, they would bend over backwards to help with whatever they could.

Secure andv very close to camden town station and markets so very convenient. However, th dorm was heated very very hot and I slept for less than 30 min all night! If the heatingwas sorted it would be 10/10 for the dorm. Breakfast just toast but ok.

staff were friendly, beds weren't the best, noisy from the bar downstairs, location is perfect

Good location, close to the metro, public bicycles, and the busy Camdem neighbourhood. OK overall, tiny and not-clean-enough toilets, the only common area is a room in the basement, which is not too welcoming, although the reception is also a bar, so that fills the gap.

If you are willing to spend the weekened listening to rock and roll in the nearby pubs and arrive at 3 am at night the place is fine. If you want to sleep before 3AM specially on weekends, the noise from the downstairs pub will make it difficult. Heating and hot water worked fine and the staff was always friendly and helpful.
