Nice and clean hostel. Breakfast included until 10 am. No kitchen, but the bar has reasonable prices (drinks&food).

You really couldn't pick a better location in Edinburgh! It literally takes seconds to walk to Waverley train station, minutes to shopping, the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle etc. The hostel is great, staff are helpful and nice enough, and the bar and restaurant are good. Only negatives I have are: rooms are a little bit cold at night I was glad I had a sleeping bag, no wifi in rooms, and it would be great if they put a mirror in the dorm (not just bathroom). I would definitely stay here again!

Staff very friendly and great location (next to train station and near the royal mile). The bar downstairs was also very good

Our whole group enjoyed staying in St. Christopher's so much, we've stayed in a number of hostels before but none have compared to this! The food disount and drinks promos for people staying in the hostel is a great idea! I'd recommend this hostel to anyone travelling to edinburgh! The only criticism I would have is that check out is too early 10am is early and although we were told we didn't have to leave at 10am on the button we still had to be out of there early, I think 12 would be better

It's a very festive atmosphere, you'll sure will have fun there, but only if you don't care if you will shower at the end of a day (shower doesn't work sometimes when I was there) or if there is someone drunk sleeping in your bed hahaha. Also I stayed in room 401 and it has a very strong spices smell, like some kind of curry! I do like curry and other spices, but not when I want to sleep.

I really enjoyed my stay here for the weekend, the location was fab and the staff were friendly. The only thing I would fault it on is the wifi not working throughout the hostel.

the hostel is nice,is very well located, but I've never seen such bad manners from the staff. In particular, it was a tall brunette girl, who was never in the mood of smiling! my god, never seen someone like that.. it really made me want to avoid her!

i arrived at 830am, having been travelling since 3am, i was told quite rudely that check it was not until 2pm, which is fair enough i should have checked. so i walked around edinburgh for nearly 5 hours and returned at 130 and asked the same receptionist if there was any way she could check to see if my room was ready. she gave me a dirty look and called the cleaner. turns out that night there were only 4 girls in the 10 bed dorm, so my bed would have been ready much much earlier. disappointing
