I was somewhat disappointed with my room after seeing the photos on the website of the "new" rooms with the pod beds - my room certainly wasn't like that! The shower had good pressure however the height of the nozzle made the water shoot straight into my face, and all over the floor. Breakfast (toast and cereal) seemed very disorganised - only one kettle for so many guests which obviously kept running out (perhaps an urn would be more efficient?) and not enough toasters.

Very bad experience..We had booked (at 8 bed mixed room) for three nights, but after they took the money put us in separate dormitories-SURPRISE!-..we asked them to correct the other two nights, but in vain!they are disorganized.. Inadequate ventilation(,linen with hair, damaged sockets on the beds, WC dirty without paper after 00.30, the internet does not reach all floors, there are no lockers in the rooms..also if you come back after midnight the receptionist will probably be drunk..!

We stayed at the hostel 1 night for Australia Day.Lucky for us,all the staff were Aussies! We had lunch and started to drink at the bar.The parmy was excellent:)Christian, one of the Aussies said we could join them at shepherds bush walkabout later. We had such an awesome time!Everyone was so nice and welcoming!I wish I could have stayed longer.Room was good for the price. The water power in the shower wasn't that good, but security and location was wicked!I am defo coming back for another party!;)

Excellent hostel, highly reccommended. The only thing I could say that isnt 100% positive is that there are no lifts. This is tricky if you have a large sutcase (as I did) and have a room on the 4th floor.

Nice and clean room, but toilets were a bit dirty this time. Hot water for the shower is still not stable.

The hostel was adequette. The people were nice and it was clean and comfortable. The drawbacks are that it doesn't have a kitchen or a lounge area. The wifi is really patchy and the showers are a bit crazy. There were plenty of power outlets, though, and that was nice. The beds are pretty comfy.

Location isconvenient, and beds comfortable. However, internet (wireless) barely works. There is nowhere to hang out other than the very noisy bar, and then you would have to buy expensive drinks. No kitchen at all. I didn't have a hot shower in three days - the water was always cold. At breakfast, there is only one toaster, and it appears to be the world's slowest. And one kettle for everyone to get their tea/coffee from? Bit of a joke! Oh, and the fire alarm going off at 3:30am wasn't great...

Staff were generally polite and tried to be helpful. I thought they had a lot to do, running a hostel and working a bar at the same time. I think the hostel suffers as a result...the internet connection was hopeless, more than half the time it wasn't working, and it doesn't reach the highest floors of the hostel. There are no facilities - no lounge, kitchen, and the only luggage storage is lockers which you have to pay for - that includes on the day you check out (there's no luggage room).

I have stayed here before and their other hostels and I will continue to do so. The bar area has been nicely refurbished and has good food and well priced drinks. I do feel this means the eye has been taken off the ball with the hostel. It was slow to check in, one of the main toilets without a lock and no lockers in the room anymore! I think the rent a locker system is poor idea. Also I did not appreciate the bouncer who allowed me in begrudgingly while blocking me from doing so with his arm!

The room is nice and big, but there are no space to work. You need to work in a bar where there are people from the outside. There are not enough hot water for the shower, sometimes even none.

The hostel advertises it has free wifi, which is not really true. Wifi was spotty at the best of times in the bar and impossible to access in any of the rooms except very early in the morning. If you really need wifi, probably better to book somewhere else. Other than that, it was a fine experience. Some bathrooms were a little unclean, but I've definitely seen worse.

Location excellent and good value for money if you just want a bed and a shower. Good atmosphere in Belushis and the staff were nice. However, I had read the reviews and was aware there was no lift. Be warned, there is a hefty walk up if you are on the 4th floor, so try and travel light or leave your heavy gear in the first floor lockers (which you have to pay for, but they are worth it). 3 out of 4 in-room lockers couldn't be locked.Finishing on a positive, there are now hangars in the showers!
