I been staying at the Hammersmith Hostel at least 8 times over a the last year. It is sad to see that every time I get there I can see that the facilities have been deteriorating, bathrooms stalls are broken and sometimes the hot water is not available. Also in December 2012 on Christmas time the WI-FI went down and I could not do important communications, so I end up walking at midnight trying to find a Wi-Fi signal. My last stay from 02/27-03/04 the WI-FI was down again. Bed was not clean.

Sadly only there for one night before my flight. Attached to a bar with lots of young people so good atmosphere if you want to have a good time. No deposit needed for room key. Free breakfast. Showers ok.

A really good place to stay if you are looking to meet people as they have a bar downstairs where everyone hangs out! The staff are really friendly on my first night here Caitlin and Amy came over and joined everyone together and made us feel very at home. I would definitely recommend this hostel to any young traveller.

Not good if working/looking for work or appartments or if you want to cook your own meals. Partyhostel where communal room is a pub - no kitchen. NO LOCKER in rooms. They're in Pubs basement next to restrooms - gets messy/sketchy on weekends. Value is average because lockers cost 4GBP/24hrs Excellent Hostel if you're partying/backpacking or doing short citytrip - 25% on food, 2for1 Sol Beer, 2,50 Fosters Pints. Brekkie is very basic - all other food is good/cheap. Friendly/Helpful staff!!!

I really liked the atmosphere of this place, however, the one things that I was not pleased with was the fact that their wifi is only on the first floor. I would have appreciated it if the wifi was on throughout the hostel. There was a bar downstairs which means you could get reasonably priced food and mingle. Also, the staff were lovely!! It was a good location because it was between the inner city and Heathrow airport, and it was also located very close to the underground station and shops.

I had an amazing experience in the Hostel, the proximity of the tube and bus stations makes travelling in london an easy thing. The services are really good and the atmosphere in the hostel is one of the best i've ever seen. I would like to thanks all the staff members in the bellushi's who were always ready to help me and make my experience even better.

Nowhere to sit but in the pub. No kitchen. No life. A pretty dull hostel.

Owner Comment (Show)
Hi, Sorry that you feel their is no life in our hostel. We have 6 nights of entertainment in the bar with DJ's , 241 drinks deals, 25% off food, two Sky television boxes showing all major HD sports. We are also located within walking distance of cinema's / theatre's and one of the biggest shopping centres in Europe. In the nearby area are restaurants / bars and we are 5 mins from the Thames river and all it has to offer. We feel that life is what you make of it! Enjoy the rest of your travels!

Great location, near underground station, convenient to travel to Heathrow airport or King's Cross station, close to great shopping area. Staff were busy but behaved well. The lockers looked not so secure but no problem yet. No elevator so difficult to move up heavy luggage. There is a bar on the ground floor but no kitchen.

Very good value for London, however, not the best location for London - very well linked by Underground, just not the safest of areas. My main complaint was the way the staff acted towards me - I felt very left out as a Brit staying in the hostel, I was spoken to in a very patronising manner, it was as if I was less entitled to be there than others who may have travelled further. Also, not impressed that you have to pay for lockers - I don't feel it's fair to have them on the check-list.

the staff was super friendly, and the people staying in the hostel were great as well. However, there was not a common area that I could find and the showers are press button...so they dont heat up and only last 5 minutes. The biggest thing was that they do NOT tell you they are above a night club that bumps music till 2am in the morning. I checked in late and had to manuever through a crowd of dancing drunk people to lock my luggage up in the lockers. Overall though, it was a room to stay in..
