My two main problems were that pretty much all the staff we deadly with were new to the job, and that was fine except the experienced staff never seemed to be around to help, and my second problem was that not only were the showers the ones that you press button and it turns on for say, 30 seconds which is rather frustrating, but two of the the showers in our ensuite bathroom only lasted a couple of seconds while the taps, which seem to be more likely to be left on didn't turn off automatically.

Disappointing. Rude/cold staff. No lift & 4 flights of narrow stairs, horrible showers COLD both morning/evening. Not so clean bathrooms, lousy wifi signal on 3rd floor, bed OK, the most spacious room compared to other London hostels for a 8 bed, fantastic location just cross the street to take the tube and for all the shops and shopping centres in Hammersmith.

Staff didn't seem to understand their computer system very well after messing up our booking. Communication between staff members seemed not so good. Otherwise it was awesome.

Toilet is really smelly and i stay at 4th floor without lift. No wi fi in the room. The wi fi is only available on the main lobby which is not convinient for backpacker to search for information.

I don't understand i have to spend night with other three strange men. I am a female, I don't think it is safe and good for women to enjoy the trip night

Overall a disappointing stay. Staff were generally not interested in helping (except for 2 of the male staff). Showers were the worst we have come across in the EU (no hot water, no hooks to hang things, irritating push-button operation, worn out shower heads that sprayed everywhere but on you). Overpriced food at Belushi's. Better off going to the Wetherspoons Pub down the road where you can get the same food at 1/2 the price. Breakfast was a joke! 1 toaster, 1 kettle and no coffee!! Wifi slow.

No lockers, security was really average they had lots of theft whilst I was staying there. They also stuffed up my booking by giving me the wrong bed number three times and this happened to everyone I spoke with. They did try and fix it but it was still really annoying to have to keep waiting a reception with about 10 other people. There's no lift so you have to drag all your luggage up 5 flights of stairs, the rooms are smaller than the other st christophers and there's no privacy at all.

The girls who are employed there do not want to work at all and are very lazy. There is no common room to meet people in. The hostel only cares about the bar down stairs. They set all the tables with napkins etc. which makes backpackers who want to sit down with their laptops unwelcome. You have to pay to use their lockers which are on some levels. A lot of thefts occurred when I was there. The hostel has no lift and incredibly steep stairs which is a pain if you have a lot of luggage.

Location is good. Price is cheap. However, there is no lift but just stairs. Female dorm is on top floor (4/F). No curtains for individual bed in female dorm. It is a nightmare if you have heavy luggage and being assigned to this floor. No free luggage storage after check out but only to pay rental locker on B/F with stair access only.

Overall it met my expectations. Great location - right across the street from the underground station, very easy to get anywhere in the city. This also meant lots of quick meal options within a short walking distance (as well as the bar downstairs). Free wi-fi was nice, but not very dependable (there were a couple days it would not work). Facilities were cleaned daily, including my room and the bathrooms. Showers weren't always hot, though. Low price and got the job done, though!

There was a problem with my bed, the one I was assigned had someone else in it, the staff didn't really seem to know how to resolve this.

Totally renovated Belushig's bar. Front desk has a learning curve but otherwise good. 10% discount on food is good but no kitchen for hostel food prep. Wifi was great in August, now it is sketchy at best. key access to rooms; front hostel door key were only completed on the day that I left so not sure if security with a downstairs street bar was good until that was completed. 4 flights of narrow stairs no elevator just FYI. easy tube ride access across the street.

The beds were nice and comfortable, and the breakfast was ok. However, this hostel has no facilities. There is no kitchen. Not even a microwave. There is no hang-out area. Unlike another St Christopher's Inn I stayed at, there were no lockers in the room for use free of charge, so the only option if you wanted to keep your items secure was to hire a locker each day for a few pounds. The pub below plays loud music and it is very audible from the bedrooms.

There was no luggage storage despite the information on the web page of the hostel, no solution for provided . I needed to pay extra to leave my suitcase. Asking for contact with the manager, I received a piece of paper with a name ((no surnam) and telephone number to Dustin. A total lack of respect and prfessionalism.

Great hostel, great price for what you get. Very clean and well kept. One of the best hostels i've stayed in. The only thing that wasn't great was the showers, were way too cold. But all in all, it was a nice place to stay.

The price is fantastic ,and the bed was fine, however the dorm was a bit smelly and the shower was freezing cold .The guys in my room made it nigh on impossible to sleep ,that was ok because I had a 12 hour flight the next morning and I wanted to be tired. The bar downstairs was cool and the staff were very friendly .All in all a perfect place for me to spend a night in London
