If you've been to another St. Christopher's, they're all fairly similar. Lockers under beds. My 10 dorm had privacy curtains. Well-located in the old part of Bruges. Really cool bar here--old clock that moves backwards and other neat decor and a nice atmosphere in general. They have walking tours but we didn't take them. Wifi doesn't work in bedrooms, but it's decent in reception area.

Don't choose Room Nr. 2, because it's directly above the bar. I had loud music/noise until 2:30h and wasn't able to sleep. Other rooms may be better.

Really excellent hostel. I stayed in the renovated 16 bed dorm which was of a very high standard, with pod style beds anf a large secure storage facility-- many rooms aren't like this so it would be worth checking if they have any available. The hostel is quite a walk from the train station, but once you're there is very convenient for town. All in all, highly recommended.

The breakfast was surprisingly good with rolls and pastries with jam and Nutella plus plenty of coffee- far better than other hostels. We also appreciated the 24hr reception since we arrived at midnight. The staff was helpful with maps and directions to local events. We got a free walking tour of the city and found the best places for waffles and fries. Only complaint would be the paperthin walls so every step outside the room was loud and doors would slam often during the night.

Bed linens had stains on them, hairs in bed from previous guests, toilets were reeking of humid, nasty smell, terrible walls and hygiene. Avoid room 3 unless you like to sleep on top of a loud bar and have random beats echoing through your body until the early hours. If you're not picky, however, and are a happy hippie, don't mind not showering or showering in disgusting facilities, you'll be grand and satisfied. Rotten place, more or less, fairly low even by hostel standards.

Nice and clean place. 5 min walk from the center. The staff was kind and willing to help you at anything you might need.

It's nice, clean, secure, fairly near the centre and it's good value. It does lack character as the reception, bar and some of the rooms are all in separate buildings so as a solo traveller it is more difficult to meet people unless you really make the effort. If I was coming back to Brugge with other people I would come here but if solo I would try somewhere else next time. Also the wi-fi is only in the reception and bar, which is a bit annoying.

One staff member wasn't particularly friendly, but others were fine. 8 bed dorm was very spacious! Had lockers for personal items. Breakfast was ok and included. Beds were comfy, bathrooms clean.

The "express checkout" is a bit tricky. If you choose this option you lost your deposit, which is 1 euro per key/card, but still it is a bit annoying.

Location is ok ,the restaurant and bar & cleaning staff were great, really nice, but the reception staff was mostly rude and did not help at all. The hostel is nice, showers are good, beds &lockers, ok.

Great rooms with big lockers under the beds that will fit most big packs. The staff were very helpful and you get lots of benefits for staying there like cheap drinks at their restaurant/bar that is right beside the hostel. Free breakfast was decent if limited but its 5min walk into town so the location is great I highly recommend it. Atmosphere is a little dead but if you put some effort in you can liven it and meet people. Decent place I recommend it.

Pros: clean, decent breakfast and good location Cons: no wifi in rooms, staff was unknowledgeable of city activities/bus schedules etc Overall good location for cost but nothing special.

Most rooms are above the bar which means you have 90s 'hits' screaming in your head whether your in the bar or trying to get some sleep in your room. There is a lack of power sockets, example in 1 room with 6 beds, only 1 socket worked. None of the sockets are near beds. Staff ranged from very friendly and helpful to useless. Location good. Breakfast standard. Laundry wash + dry €4 do it your self. Overall okay, but if looking for sleep request a room away from bar.

PRO: st chris' are usually pretty well run, this was no exception. good shared facilities, sinks in rooms. in a neighbourhood farther from the touristy district so things are a bit cheaper and more locals. grocery store 1 min away. wifi worked in our 1st floor room despite being told no wifi in rooms. CON: our 1st room floor was LOUD cos it was above the bar. felt like the bar was in your room – no joke. the walls are THIN, all my roommates had trouble falling asleep.
