Although the staff were very polite and the hostel as a whole very comfortable the rooms tended to be very poorly looked after. The shower trays had more sealant around them than I ever thought possible, there was no soap in the dispensers which most of them were broken and the decore was very tired. The window handle was broken off and it would not lock in position, so very cold. ..

A great hostel with an amazing location on the cliffs above the beach. Really friendly and helpful staff, a great bar for drinks and food, and clean rooms. We would definitely recommend this hostel to other people.

Far too noisy with the club music downstairs..were the rooms more isolated from this noise then a club would be a great asset to have with the hostel but as it is it doesn't work- for me at least. It was only possible to sleep between 2am- 9am (when music was not playing). When booking a room it is not expected that it will be fit for purpose (ie. sleeping) for such a short amount of time. I did not feel as if I got a fair deal.

Parking was a problem. If you could park in the six parking spaces on site then you had to find a car park which was very expense. All the staff was very helpful.

Booked into a hostel as there was a large group of us, but didn't feel good about it as it worked out more expensive than a bed and breakfast but without the privicy and quiet. Heard every single sound from other parties and the shower facilities were almost unusable. However the food was of a good standard and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would never stay there again as would rather pay just a little bit more for a decent room.

The hostel was too noisy with people shouting and running around all night long. There appeared to be no staff on site in the evenings to control bad, disruptive behaviour. There was no self catering facilities and with breakfast starting at 9, this was missed everyday due to high tide being before 9. The beds were comfy, but way too short, many of the under-bed lockers were broken and the staff never refilled our toilet roll, even after asking - we ended up having to buy our own - disappointing

Hi There I do apologise for the noise levels within our Hostel..The weekend you have stated did involve two large groups staying with us who were on a party weekend..At any time day or night there are at least 3 staff members on site...I have asked the team if there were any high levels of noise as I heard nothing all night and all of our team have said they did not come across any high noise levels that weekend.. The hostel is here for everyone to enjoy themselves and further more we open breakfast according to our opening times not according to the Tide Times.. Thank You

Great Location, but pretty quiet when I was there. The bar downstairs is one of the main Pubs in Torquay, but was very quiet when I was there. Facilities were OK without being great, pretty much set up as a Surfer's Hostel.......

Hiya,i came with a group of 7 girls, this was our 1st time at a hostel so we we're quite nervous as a group but we settled in very quickly and especially enjoyed the food brought at the bar and the band that played on the Saturday night, the staff were very helpful and professional, this environment was laid back and relaxed and we couldn't believe the views from our room and the breakfast/bar area ,they were amazing all across the beach and sea.The only thing the bathroom light bulb didn't work.

Beautiful location, the rooms and most particularly the bathrooms could be a blot cleaner and cleaned more regularly. Bins emptied too. Otherwise not too bad.

Not enough bathrooms/showers. A bit far from town/train. Supermarket close tho. No chillout room. Rubbish wifi.
