Must be the best hostel I have stayed. You can tell that the place is well looked after and must be the cleanest hostel I have been. Staff are friendly and is in a great location. Highly recommended.

I stay at this hostel whenever I visit Newquay. This isn't the cleanest hostel I have stayed at (probably because of it being situated near the beach) or has the best facilities (lack of kitchen). However, it's location, staff, atmosphere and bar (easily one of the best bars in Newquay) are what bring me back time and time again. Great place to come back to after a Surf with good Food, beers and friendly locals.

The showers were pretty bad...cold, lukewarm at best and hardly any water. But I am getting used to this being the case in a lot of hostels. Other than that, the location was great and I met some nice people there, so it was a good stay.

The rates over easter were £30 a night for which we got a very basic dorm room with 1 bathroom between I think 18 people, which was obviously not clean. We also had to keep surf equipment in the room. Breakfast was good and overall it was a great stay. The location is also brilliant.

I know it's a Hostel BUT keeping Bathrooms clean (the one's in the room & the one in Bellushi's) is hardly rocket science!! It's a grim job but surely if they were clean in the first place it may encourage people to have a little more respect for them!?! Or maybe not!! A lot of Bleach & elbow grease would be very much appreciated! Thank You :-)

I've stayed here three times over five years and I don't have a bad word to say. Lovely folk, lovely bar and lovely views. I woke up to ocean waves below my window and had breakfast outside overlooking one of Newquay's little beaches. The last stay was four nights in March and due to it being quiet season and the week before Easter, the hostel was very quiet - but the Belushi's bar is always full of locals and they have something music-related on almost every night. Really nice atmosphere :)

The bar downstairs is great - especially the food. And the location is unbelievable. I can imagine how great it must be in the summer. Only the rooms are very small and are lacking a little of the heart and atmosphere the bar definitely has.

I would highly recommend this as a place to stay and visit in Newquay. Staff are very friendly. Great view of the ocean and beach from rooms and bar. All the various was great. The locals are friendly that come in the bar. I went for 4 days and stayed 3 weeks. Great prices on food and drink. I can't say enough about this location. I will definitely be going back there. and I look forward to getting back there. : )

We stayed briefly at the St Christopher's Inn in Newquay (1 night). The view of the ocean from the hostel we got in the morning was breathtaking. We arrived late at 1am and they were still able to check us in, however we had to wait for 15-20min since the bar was just closing down and the barman doubled as receptionist. It wasn't too much of a concern since we met some locals to chat with. The town was a bit sleepy off season - it is better suited for the summer surfer crowd.

Although the staff were very polite and the hostel as a whole very comfortable the rooms tended to be very poorly looked after. The shower trays had more sealant around them than I ever thought possible, there was no soap in the dispensers which most of them were broken and the decore was very tired. The window handle was broken off and it would not lock in position, so very cold. ..
