The location of this hostel is excellent. Even though it's not right in the centre it's close to a lot of great places. The borough market is right across the street and London bridge, Tower bridge, the Tower of London, the Tate Modern, and St. Paul's are all within a short walk. You have to walk to the Village hostel for breakfast but the Oasis is better for coming home at night because it's really close to the Underground station. There was a locker in the room.

Though the staff was awesome! I had a total of $300 worth of my stuff stolen by my room mates while I was sleeping. Even thought I kept my bag and my other belongings with me on the bed while I slept they still managed to steal my things

I really liked the hostel! It was a perfect location right next to a tube station. The street was really noisy at night until very early the next morning, but if you have ear plugs or head phones it's not too bad. The bathrooms and showers were decent, for a hostel. I really don't have any complaints.

I had no problem with the actual staff but my room had 2 girls that were working to stay and they were the most obnoxious/ unapologetic roommates I have encountered in my 3 months of staying in hostels. The room itself was good, breakfast was varied and yummy and I liked the rest of the people in my room. Internet is a bit flaky and drops out a lot.

Everything was really nice, the rooms are not too small, clean and the beds are really comfy! I will definitely be back!

There seemed to be big issues with their booking system which made check-in take forever. The staff seemed very unconcerned with being efficient and were more concerned with flirting with each other. Bar staff were excellent and very friendly. I stayed in 2 different rooms during my stay and both times there were employees in the room with me. They seemed unconcerned with being a considerate room mate. One never woke up to her alarm which went off every morning at 5.30 and she'd hit snooze 5 tim

the only reason I put average for character and atmosphere was because this part of the hostel was quite isolated from the other parts. all you could do there was sleep. But i really enjoyed my time there!

Alright hostel, good for just a stop over as it is so cheap and there is a free breakfast. The bathroom was in need of a desperate need of a clean, i would not want to stay for more than one night.

Two staff were staying in the dorm room for the whole of my two-week stay. Both of them were untidy - one left her clothes everywhere, and chose 3am as the perfect time to sweep crumbs off her bed after a night out (her bed was also her dining table), waking me up in the process. The other also set her alarm for 5.30am most days and hit snooze for hours - and refused to change her habits when other girls in the room complained. Ruined what was otherwise a fairly pleasant experience.

A great place to stay but a couple of things were a bit annoying: was not told that I needed to sign up for internet at the reception when I booked in, I got back to the hostel at 11:30pm that night, got into my pjs and tried to get online only to find that I needed a username and password that would require me to walk to the reception down the street. Security relies heavily on the visitors' trust-worthiness ie: someone brought people into the hostel room that weren't staying there late at nigh

It would have been great to have our own microwave at Oasis so I didn't have to go to the Village everytime I wanted something heated. I also think a bar fridge would be a great addition. The cleaning of the rooms leaves something to be desired. The bathrooms were especially bad. One of the toilets on the bottom floor was always clogged and the other went 2 days without toilet paper even after calling reception.

we didn't get any towels when we arrived. We had to be there for two overnights and asked for towels 3 times, but everytime there wasn't any clean.

Staff was a bit unfriendly and had a negative attitude about helping us. Many people in our room were also complaining about the service and disorganization. One staff member was really helpful however, and super friendly.

We went to St Christopher's Oasis on the night before new years eve, on new years eve itself and on the night after. That is why we payd alot more, but I guess thats normal. We where in a women only hostel, But because there was no security at the door, there where a lot of boys in the hostel too. Luckily we had a private room, so thats why just the noises outside our room kept us awake (instead of inside the room). The location is perfect and close to subway and busstop.

The internet at Oasis is very temperamental and that is annoying because it means you have to go to the Village to get proper internet connection. Also the 4 bed dorm was freezing cold and we are in January!!!!!

If you are looking for a fun atmosphere I would recommend the village hostel instead. The showers are awful! One temperature and you have to hit the button a hundred times to stop it from cutting out on you. There were a group of girls in our room who looked like they were living there.. things all over the room, waking up ridiculously early in the morning to go to work. It would be nice if they put people who are 'living' there all in one room, and people who are traveling in a different room.
